Lumi Studio, located in Kumasi-Ghana, was established by ARAFAT DOKURUGU SULLEY, a visual artist in 2021.The studio will open its doors for the first time to local and international residents, tourists, art critics, allowing residents the time and space for concentrated creation in beautiful and inspiring surroundings, as well as visiting tourist sites in GHANA. Lumi Studio’s mission as a nonprofit Studio for learning is to focus on health, mental wellness, support for young talents, the environment and topical global issues. To that end, we will host art classes, workshops, art exhibitions, and other meaningful gatherings on these topics. At Lumi Studio, we believe that conversations and taking action about these critical topics are not complete without the input of artists and designers, and it is our privilege to be able to offer the space for creative people of all disciplines to be a part of those conversations.
We recently rented a space to be used as a studio temporarily in Deduako from the sale of artifacts by ART LUMINESCENT, the artist and brain behind this project.
