THE ARTIST WHO HARNESSED ENERGY ITSELF

Born in Athens in 1925, Takis (Panayiotis Vassilakis) redefined what sculpture could be.

A pioneer of kinetic art, he didn’t just shape materials.
He captured invisible forces like magnetism, electricity, and vibration.

A single moment at a Calais train station in 1957, watching a signal pole sway, became the spark. From then on, Takis dedicated his life to making the unseen visible.

With exhibitions at the Tate Modern, MoMA, and the Centre Pompidou, his work continues to inspire architects, designers, and collectors worldwide.

He didn’t create to impress, he created to reveal the hidden hum of the universe.

At POid Interiors, we place such pieces with purpose, where art and architecture speak the same language.

Art doesn’t just hang on walls.
It shifts the atmosphere.

In this composition, ΀αΟÎčÎŽÎčώτης by George Lappas becomes a figure of tension and weightlessness—always mid-journey.

Opposite, Ο ÎœÎ±ÏÏÎżÏ‚ by ΜάÎșης Î˜Î”ÎżÏ†Ï…Î»Î±ÎșÏ„ÏŒÏ€ÎżÏ…Î»ÎżÏ‚ holds the wall like a shadow, anchoring the room.

At POid Interiors, art is not decor.
It’s architecture.

CHRISTOS BOKOROS IN CONTEXT

In this residence designed by POid Interiors, a painting by Christos Bokoros becomes part of the architecture itself.

Positioned above the staircase, the work doesn’t just decorate the space—it engages with it.
It speaks to the values that define our approach: structure, clarity, and the integration of art in everyday environments.

POid Interiors curates spaces where form and content meet—discreetly, precisely, and with purpose.

ELENI VERNADAKI — OBJECTS THAT THINK
Not decorative. Intentional.
Her ceramics weren’t made to be admired from a distance —
they were made to inhabit space. To shape rhythm.
To speak the language of architecture without ever raising a wall.

From a pomegranate reimagined as a sculptural icon
to a plate that moves when your eye moves —
Vernadaki’s forms are not static.
They think.
They question what an object can be.

For those who believe that interiors deserve to live with art —
not just hang it.

Stefanos Daskalakis doesn’t just paint interiors —
he evokes memory through space, furniture, and light.

His chairs, tables, and sofas aren’t decorative.
They’re memory triggers.

We study artists to understand how furniture becomes part of the story — not just in painting, but in the way we design space.

This is our philosophy:
Art-infused interiors that feel as intentional as a canvas.

Located in the heart of Athens, we collaborate with artists, architects, and collectors to shape spaces that are both elegant and emotionally resonant.

Follow us for more design studies, curated art features, and spaces that tell a story.

This acrylic on canvas exemplifies a mastery of color and form.

The bold, gestural strokes and striking contrast between the vibrant pink background and the expressive human figure echo the energy and emotion seen in the works of Expressionist painters like Ernst Ludwig Kirchner and the Fauvist embrace of bold, non-naturalistic color.

The fragmented rendering of the figure resonates with the evolution of modern art, where abstraction and human emotion blend seamlessly, recalling elements of post-war Abstract Expressionism.

The choice of such an intense color palette and the raw, almost visceral brushwork speak to an artist unafraid to push boundaries and explore new dimensions of creative expression.

Having the support of such multifaceted talents on this creative journey is both humbling and motivating. Grateful to connect with those who truly embody artistry in all its forms.

For Wassily Kandinsky, red wasn’t just a color—it was an energy. It roared like a bold melody and pulsed with warmth and life.

As we embrace the season of warmth and light, let this artwork remind us of the power of color to spark emotion and connection.

This napkin holder is more than a practical object—it’s a reflection of an era that celebrated simplicity, form, and functionality.

Designed by Marianne Brandt, one of the only women in the Bauhaus metal workshop, this piece challenges traditional notions of art and utility.

In the 1920s, Brandt merged industrial precision with artistic beauty, proving that everyday objects could also be art.
