Koutsikou concept stores

Koutsikou is part a concept store and part a cabinet of curiosity. Koutsikou is run by Maria Koutsikou and Lea Paolini, her daughter.

You can find Koutsikou in Kythira and Hydra. Koutsikou shops are open from April until end of end of October.

Every day, when the shop is open, our clients ask us about the jewellery we carry:

“Can I wear it in the sea?”
“Does the colour fade?”
“Can I shower with it?”

All very important questions when choosing a piece of jewellery.

But the answer isn’t always simply yes or no. It depends on what your jewellery is made of, how it has been treated, and how you take care of it.

Gold plated, brass, silver, stainless steel… they all behave differently.

So we put together a little guide to the metals you’ll find at KOUTSIKOU and what to expect from them, how to wear them and how to keep them beautiful for longer.

Our August, full of beautiful things and products, but mostly beautiful people.

I’m not sharing everyone here, because not all of us want to be on social media, but there are so many people I want to thank.

Lara and Ivan for helping us serve Spritz,
Xara and Bianca for always being there and being so helpful,

and all the wonderful people who are still working in Hydra throughout the season.

KOUTSIKOU wouldn’t be quite as pretty without all the kindness, generosity and good energy surrounding it.

We are happy to introduce you a small capsule collection that will be available in shop from the 15th of August.
is a project by Koutsikou that gives new life to vintage and pre-existing garments through embroidery.

Each piece is carefully selected and embroidered with words and phrases inspired by literature, music, cinema and popular culture, turning something that already exists into something unique and personal.
We hope you will like it!

We welcomed August by completely reimagining the shop.

Everything has moved. Furniture has found a new place, new colours have arrived, and the whole space feels different. A fresh layout, fresh energy, and a new perspective.

Ready for one of Hydra’s liveliest months.

March was intense.
Long days, small details, decisions made on the go.

We made changes, built new collaborations,
and moved through it all, always surrounded by beautiful souls.

Now everything is ready.
Waiting for you in Hydra.

Το Στάχι is the bakery I go to every morning before starting my day. Then I stop by a wonderful little café called Croissant, right on the harbor, for my coffee.

After that, I head to the shop and slip into my own bubble of work. I close the door behind me and stay there for hours, fully immersed, until evening.

I try to leave a little before sunset, so I can make it home in time to enjoy the view.
