Hong Kong’s first Stained Glass Community Exhibition
was successfully held in Queen’s Hill on 7 February 2026.
This project engaged 12 youth volunteers,
who dedicated over 20 hours to concept development and production.
Drawing inspiration from the landscape, daily life, and community elements of Queen’s Hill,
they created 12 illuminated stained glass lightbox artworks.
Through the process of stained glass making,
participants not only acquired traditional craftsmanship skills,
but also reconnected with and re-examined their own community —
transforming local memories into visible light and color.
The exhibition featured
a public artwork display, interactive booths, and community workshops,
allowing residents to experience stained glass art up close.
The project fostered meaningful connections between youth creativity and public participation,
enhancing artistic engagement and community cohesion.
This initiative was not merely an exhibition,
but a community-based art intervention in practice.
We sincerely thank
Queens Hill Lutheran Integrated Service Centre
for their invitation and support,
as well as every youth volunteer for their dedication and commitment.
For community art collaborations or youth creative programs,
please feel free to contact Bolei Studio.
