Tracing bulthaup’s journey reveals the evolution of the modern kitchen.
It all began with founder Martin Bulthaup’s obsession with craftsmanship and quality. His successor, Gerd Bulthaup, took it a step further—bringing his architecture background and the Bauhaus principle of “form follows function” into the brand’s DNA.
The result is the world’s first kitchen island, “System b.” It completely changed how we cook by breaking away from wall-facing designs and putting people at the center.
From pioneering independent workbenches and mobile kitchens to creating epoch-making floating kitchens, bulthaup continues to redefine the kitchen as a true living space.
無垠之界 前瞻設計
縱觀 bulthaup 猶如廚房進化史的軌跡，創始人 Martin Bulthaup 對木匠工藝與細節的講究，奠定了品牌對品質與用料的超高標準。第二代接班人 Gerd Bulthaup 則融合建築專業與包浩斯「形隨機能」理念，推出全球首座廚房中島原型「System b」，顛覆面牆烹煮的傳統思維，揭示以人為本的核心價值。
其後，bulthaup 首創結合火點與水點的獨立中島工作檯，以及因應遷移概念的移動式廚房。為實現「廚房即生活空間」的新價值觀，更接連推出劃時代的漂浮廚房與廚房工作坊，展現引領業界的前瞻視野。
