A historically very important Meissen empire style vase. The vase was a present by Friedrich August II, (King of Saxony from 1836 to 1854) to his personal guards regiment when he ascended the throne in 1836.

The front painting depicts the royal personal guards regiment on horse back. Soldiers on the right are holding up the Royal Saxon flag with the code of arms of the Royal Court of Saxony.

The reverse holds a dedication: In commemoration of the officers Corps of the personal guards regiment in the year 1836.

The vase stands 49cm tall.

A charming early Victorian coffee and tea service comprising of teapot coffee-pot creamer and sugar bowl. The bodies are beautifully chased with flower ornaments. All handles are made of silver with ivory insulators. The set was made in London in 1837-38 by the silversmith Edward Barton.

An elegantly crafted Victorian tea and coffee set comprising of teapot, coffee pot, sugar pot and creamer. The set is beautifully chased and on top of the lids of both coffee and teapot are snake shaped finials. The handles are made of exotic wood. The set was manufactured in 1894 in London and was sold through West and Son in Dublin/Ireland.
