A BE@RBRICK crafted with Aomori Hiba solid wood for the first time is born!

Medicom Toy will release the “BE@RBRICK · Karimoku · Cul de Sac-JAPON 400%”, first time produced in solid wood, （*not laminated wood) in collaboration with “Cul de Sac-JAPON” and “Karimoku Furniture”.
Founded in 2015 by designer Mineko Muraguchi, who was born and raised in a family lumber factory in Aomori Prefecture, Cul de Sac-JAPON is a brand based in Nakameguro, Tokyo, that creates unique products using the unique Aomori Hiba.
The brand’s philosophy of “playing seriously” resonated with Medicom Toy’s philosophy of “making what we want” and led to this collaboration.
The “BE@RBRICK • Karimoku • Cul de Sac-JAPON 400%” is made using solid wood cut from natural logs to maintain the essence of the forest scent, which is the most distinctive feature of Aomori Hiba. The challenges of processing solid wood were overcome with the outstanding craftsmanship skills of Karimoku Furniture- Japan’s leading wooden furniture manufacturer, and the product was completed after approximately three years of prototyping.
The surface is finished with hiba oil, and you can enjoy the beautiful and dense growth rings that have grown through hundreds of years by enduring the harsh freezing weather of the northern part of the country, and also the captivating scent of Aomori hiba. You can strengthen the scent even more by dripping the included Hiba fragrance liquid onto the body.
This item is scheduled to be released on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at Medicom Toy directly managed stores, online stores, and Cul de Sac-JAPON authorized dealers. We are the official retailer of Hong Kong, Macau and greater China region.
