we approached the interior not just as a dining room, but as an anatomical exploration of dim sum. the design deconstructs the richness of the craft from the inside out. translucent finishes echo delicate dumpling skins, layered earthy textures evoke rich fillings, and warm, diffused lighting mimics the gentle steam rising from bamboo baskets. every material choice, silhouette, and spatial layer translates the craft of the kitchen directly into the atmosphere of the room

| this project at reimagines the airport floor as a canvas for Hong Kong’s cultural DNA. while wayfinding is etched through traditional marble inlay, the tiger and money flower motifs are translated into custom-made carpets - a deliberate material setting that shift designed to introduce a sense of quietness and tactile warmth within the cold, clinical atmosphere of the terminal. by bridging heritage craftsmanship with these moments of softened stillness, we’re grounding the traveler’s journey in the soulful, gritty elegance of old Hong Kong.
