These aren’t just rituals. They’re 15 years of love for Bappa. ♥️♥️🙏🏻
For the past 15 years, these two days with Bappa have meant something very special to me. None of this is about being “more spiritual” or following a set of rules. These are simply little things I do out of love, respect, and the bond I share with Him.
1. I make almost everything for Bappa with my own hands.
From the backdrop and decorations to the bhog, sweets, and even His mala—almost everything is made at home. The only thing I bring from the market is fresh flowers. 🥰🥰
2. Bappa is never left alone during these two days.
I stay in the living room with Him throughout the day, and yes—even at night. It just feels strange to me to leave Him alone when He is home. ♥️♥️
3. Three times a day, Bappa gets a complete satvik bhog.
It may not be a traditional 56-bhog, but I prepare whatever I can at home, including the sweets and foods He loves. For me, it’s never about how much is on the plate—it’s about the love behind it.
4. His visarjan is done at home, completely eco-friendly. ♥️
Since 2019, we’ve been doing Bappa’s visarjan at home. We also chose to keep a brass Bappa so that wherever life takes us, whether India, Hong Kong, or the USA, we can continue this beautiful tradition without harming the environment or causing inconvenience to the people around us.🥰
For us, it’s about celebrating Bappa with love while being mindful of the world we live in zero wastage, eco-friendly, and sustainable.😍😍
5. I reuse my Bappa decorations every year. ♻️
After Ganpati, I carefully pack everything away so I can use the same pieces again and create something new the following year. Some of my decoration items are 10+ years old—and I love giving them a new life through DIYs every year.😍
These may look like small things to someone else, but for me, they are 15 years of memories, love, respect, and a tradition that has grown with me. ♥️♥️
Now I want to know ! what is one little tradition you have for Bappa that you’ve been following for years?
Tell me in the comments. I’d genuinely love to hear it. ♥️🙏🏻
