Very different yarn bases, I always love seeing how the same palette behaves on different fibres, I dyed Merino Tween and Alpaca fluff in the same pot!

Really happy with how this Merino/Mohair batch turned out! It’s technically a 4ply, but the halo gives it so much presence that it almost knits up like a DK. I’ve been knitting with it held single and love the fabric it creates, soft, airy, and surprisingly cosy. I think it works especially well for colourwork, the halo softens the transitions between colours beautifully and gives everything a slightly blended look.
