This one's for the grown ups...

I'm hosting my first adult paint party in on June 19th (just before the kids finish school for the summer 😁)

We'll spend a lovely morning drinking tea and coffee, with some delicious treats, and learning how to paint our own beautiful canvas posey of flowers.

This is for ANYONE. You don't have to be good at art, it's just an enjoyable way to spend a creative morning, meet some new people, or bring along some friends, and have a bit of fun.

ALL materials and refreshments are provided.

And you'll take home your own piece of art 🎨 ❤️

Yesterday I helped Erin celebrate her 9th birthday by customising these brilliant t-shirts with her fab gang of friends 🥳

It was a gorgeous party, very relaxed and chilled out, and everyone was delighted to put in their completed t-shirt and bracelets they made too.

Thanks for having me Erin! 🎈And a very happy birthday today 🥳🎂

Parents are often so surprised at how relaxed a craft party at home can be, especially with older children. They can listen to music, chat and have lots of fun while creating something special to keep. Parents get to relax and have a cuppa before prepping the food or serving up the cake.

It's a perfect party and great alternative to play centre parties. X.

Summer camps are pretty much all fully booked bar the Le cheile afternoon camp.

The current run of adult classes for in Drogheda and Dundalk are just incredible and seem to get better and better each week.

This week we've been trying needle felting and today's class in Dundalk was truly joyful 🥰

Look at the utterly outstanding creations these ladies, who'd NEVER tried needle felting before, came up with!

The atmosphere is of friendship and encouragement and everyone is so excited to try something different each week and approaches it wholeheartedly ❤️

It's a complete pleasure to be part of.

We've two more weeks of trying out different crafts and next week we'll be having a go at watercolour painting, one of my favourites.

I had a lovely morning making clay wind up toys with the kids in the DHotel today.

They absolutely loved the clay and we're delighted to make their very own toys.

It was a busy, fun session as always.

I'll be hosting a craft workshop in the library in Bettystown on Friday morning, June 5th.

This is a completely FREE event, open to adults only, and all materials will be provided.
It's a chance to learn the very simple and enjoyable craft of decoupage, spend a relaxed morning meeting some new people and you'll take home your very own crafted bottle lamp.

These sessions are always fun.
Places are limited so make sure to book with Edel or Jacqui ASAP.

A little nod to the Mornington gulls who are keeping our beautiful coastline clean and safe by scavenging dead sea life and controlling some of the pests.

I had the pleasure of watching this little guy this afternoon catching a crab, bringing it to the shore and eating it.

I love seagulls. The sound of them brings me right back to childhood before I was lucky enough to live so close to the coast. On days out to the seaside the sound of the gulls signalled how close we were.
They remind me of happy days out, sunshine and trying to hide my fish and chips 🤣 even to this day when I live so close to them.

I'm glad I got to see this happy little guy this afternoon because this morning unfortunately I witnessed a cousin of his having a nest destroyed and how upsetting that was for the poor birds.
I'm sure they can be both noisy and messy but when you think of how important these guys are it seems like a small price to pay for such a short time. It was very disappointing to see 😞
Humans really can be selfish and cruel at times.

Over the last week all of the craft club classes have been painting dolphins using acrylic paint on canvas.

This was a wonderful process art that involved following step by step instructions to draw out, and then to blend colours for each part of the picture.

I think these turned out incredibly well and the children were so proud of their completed pieces.

Flora and I had such a fantastic time at the today!
The weather finally came out, the atmosphere was electric and the people were absolutely brilliant! We met and crafted with so many amazing children from all over Ireland.

What a fantastic event!

Well done to everyone involved in making this such a great weekend and thanks for having us 🙌🏼🏆🏅🥇
