This year I’m trying new things and I’m back to market life after missing it for a few years, I found my physical recovery from the hysterectomy really tough but….Im back with my fluffy stuff!
This weekend you’ll find me at the Old Bridge House in Co Meath …also known as the Battle of the Boyne …that a venue and set up so I’m really looking forward to this one! ❤️

To my gorgeous crafty community, I’m at it again! I have organised another craft supply exchange and it’s happening on Thuraday the 16th of October in Greystones Library from 6 to 8pm! Bring anything to do with sewing and yarn crafts only ..bring your bestie, your nana, your auntie or come alone to meet your local crafty community while swapping and sharing with others …you’ll definitely find something there to get those creative juices going now that the evenings are getting darker..we all need splash of creativity and colours to get us going!

To my crafty friends and followers …I can highly recommend Michael Mooney Sewing Machine Repair to take care of your gorgeous sewing machines, we all know that sometimes they turn into divas and refuse to sew properly and that’s super frustrating and will put you off sewing!

I had so much fun making a unique pressie for my gorgeous other half for his big day! An old heavy curtain, some deck chairs material from the 70’s…an awful lot of neon tread and voila’…his dream has come through …now as he can carry his logs 🪵 without too much effort …its lovely to sew when everything goes well, the machine is purrrrring …the tread just glides … (it’s not always so straight forward) but today it all worked out perfectly!

CRAFTS SUPPLIES EXCHANGE ita happening again due to a rather popular demand….textiles and yarn only (tools and everything to do with those crafts are accepted).
The idea is that we have too much of something that doesn’t inspire us anymore…however you’ll need something new to inspire you to do or try something different …so being along what doesn’t serve you & pick up something to spark that gorgeous creativity. See ya all in Greystones library on Thursday the 17th of April from 6 to 7.30pm! Craft Supplies Exchange is happening again in Greystones library …I enjoyed so much meeting so many of you and see people walking away with their “treasures”..souls filled with hope and creativity for what’s to come …please come in and meet your crafty neighbours, we are all friends that haven’t met yet!
If you wish to help please reach out to me …I learned from last time that it takes a village to run this kind of event ..we are a community after all ain’t we? We can’t change the crazy world we are living in…all we can do is to create communities around us and change what we can …for me is to fill it with colours and positivity mixed with huge bundles of creativity! Stick it on your diary …go on…I know you have too much of something …lol!

Craft Supply Exchange at Greystones Library – Drop Off Your Items Now

Clear out your craft stash and find something new at the Craft Supply Exchange in Greystones Library on Thursday, April 17th, at 6pm.

Bring along any craft supplies you no longer need and swap them for something that inspires you.
This exchange focuses on textiles, yarn, needles, ribbons, craft tools, and anything that can be used for textile or wool-based crafts.

You don’t have to wait until the event—you can drop off your unwanted craft items at the library now.

This is a great way to meet fellow crafters, refresh your supplies, and share materials that others might love.

I’ve set up 2 beginner sewing classes locally to me with plenty of little projects that will teach you how to use your machine and learn many tricks by making tote bags, pin cushions, buntings etc…
The morning classes will take place on Monday morning between 10.30 to 12.30 in Jacksmill - Hub13 in Newtownmountkennedy starting 24th of March and running every Monday that’s not a holiday till towards the end of April (March 24th & 31st / April 7th, 14th, 28th). The first Monday will be an introduction to using your sewing machine, if you have attended the workshop with me already you can skip the first lesson.
Investment: €200 for the 5 sessions of €160 if you have already attended the introductory session.

The evening classes will take place on Wednesday evening from 6.30 to 8.30pm in the Community Centre in Kilcoole starting on the 19th of March with a one off workshop to learn how to use your sewing machine followed by a 6 weeks beginner course. If you have attended the introduction workshop already or already know how to operate your machine independently you can skip the first lesson. The course will run every consecutive Wednesdays from the 19th of March to the 30th of April.
Investment: €280 for the 7 session or €240 if you have attended the intro session already. If you are interested reach out as the classes are kept small to ensure plenty of one to one time. .ie

I have a few workshops and sewing classes coming up …Saturday the 8th of March I will start up in (beautiful location) from 10am to 12.30 or from 1 to 3.30pm I will teach you how operate your own sewing machine, tread it, a bit of maintenance, troubleshooting as well as good tools for the trade, best needles, treads, fabric and just to demystify a bit with the hope to build your confidence to use your machine autonomously.
The fee for the workshop is €40 (morning session is almost sold out as classes are small) with an extra €10 if you wish to rent one of my machines but it’s in first come first serve basis as I only have 2 machines (one modern and one vintage if you are thinking on buying one at least you can try what you like best). Following the workshop I’ll set up some morning & evening classes for beginners. Details to follow…
