This lovely Dublin home was painted for a wonderful woman whose parents’ house has now been sold and is no longer in the family — but still holds so many memories 💛
I’ve said it before but I truly adore painting these old homes. The character, the quirks, the slightly wonky details, the stonework, the windows… you can almost feel the stories sitting in the walls. Homes like this have such a presence about them. They’ve seen decades of ordinary little moments that somehow become the big meaningful memories later on.
I especially loved painting all the textures in this one — the old stone facade, the iron gate, the little plants in the windows. So much charm packed into one house.
Also, little life update 😅 — I’m wrapping up orders over the next month because I’m getting my tonsils out in a couple of weeks. Apparently adulthood wasn’t dramatic enough already.
So if anyone has any top-tier recovery recommendations besides surviving exclusively on ice cream, mashed potato and regret, please send them my way 😂 Cold foods, TV binge suggestions, miracle cures… I’ll take it all.
Hoping I’ll emerge from it like a brand new woman afterwards ✨
