Re-Jingled trampoline spring guard covers!
What a mouthful!

Our lovely trampoline was looking a bit worse for wear. She's aging but still brings us heaps of joy so she lives on. Her spring guard covers had long since befallen her and so with some savvy searching on my local free cycle group, I scored some Ikea bags and remedied the sitch.

Six spring guard covers in total. Each cover is generous and was made to fit the foam pad and a little more to cover all the springs. Each cover has an opening underneath for easy in and off. The bag handles were stitched in to each cover to secure on.

Not gonna lie. It wasn't an easy project. Sewing stiff plastic is pretty tricky.
Let's bounce!

Re-Jingled umbrella bag!

I found this sun umbrella in the shed, left behind by guests. The plastic cover was at it's end so with the cut offs from the vintage House N Home outdoor shower curtains (see my earlier post), I quickly put together a carry bag for the sun umbrella. Featuring a strap and drawstring (again reclaimed), this makes it very easy to transport (along with all the other beach essentials-and there are many)!

I Re-Jingled my Mum's skirt and top...from the 80s!

This is an Eve for Robert Janan vintage skirt and top that has been on my Re-jingling list for a while now. I have very clear memories of my Mum wearing these co-ords from my childhood and I love a good print so couldn't bear to part with them. There were lots of repairs done to them over the years and lots and lots of holes, so there was a fair bit of work needed...

The sleeves came right off and I finished the arm holes with bias tape made from one of the sleeves. I flipped the top back to front and removed the ruffle neck. I took out the old elastic and zip from the skirt and it had a big gnarly hole in the front, which I cut out so it became a high-low hem instead.
I sewed new elastic into the seam to have a flouncy waist e voilà! My 'new' sleeveless, high neck high-low summer dress. Perfect for the holliers!

remember this?

Re-Jingled outdoor shower curtains!

Sourced from my parents in law's stash of vintage stuff, this fabric was tucked away in the shed for the last number of decades. It was the perfect fabric for our new, outdoor solar shower curtains!

Because the shower is solar powered, we needed something that was easy to take down often, as the shower needs to be exposed to sunlight 🌞.

This fabric was originally used as curtains in our now basement apartment back in the 70s. They now live on. If these curtains could talk...🙂

The fabric is from House N' Home Fabric and Draperies Inc. I've tried to find more on the company but can only find second hand sellers online. If anyone knows anything about the manufacturer, please share in the comments below ⬇️

Originally acquired on our baby moon trip to Egypt, I've had this scarf for 13 years and I've never worn it. I finally dug it out and Re-Jingled said baby a beach cover up kaftan.

Time flies!
