Everything happened this Wednesday, June 5, 2024 in the LUSHAGALA camps.
Around 3 p.m., a mother was preparing food for the family. A little out of the house, to his great surprise, the house was already on fire. Nothing could be saved (habits, effects, etc.)

48 households destroyed, 48 families dissipated and homeless, more than 100 children insecure from which the emergency is very high.

Tout s’est passé ce mercredi 5 juin 2024 dans le camps de LUSHAGALA.
Vers 15h, une mère préparait à manger pour la famille. Un peu sortie de la maison, à sa grande surprise, la maison tenait déjà le feu. Rien n’a pu être sauvé (habits, effets, etc)
48 ménages détruites, 48 familles dissipées et sans abris, plus de 100 enfants en insécurité d’où l’urgence s’avère très élevée.

Faites votre don et trouvons une solution face à cet incident qui a surpris tout le monde, nos frères déplacés y compris !

In Beni territory, peoples have been massacred by ADF rebels for several years.
For three days today, more than 80 people have lost their lives following a machete attack. Several others have not yet been found.

The Six-Day War is one episode in Paul Kagame’s 25-year war of pillage and aggression against the Congolese people.

The Congolese military in coordination with a United Nations authorized international force made up of South African, Malawian and Tanzanian soldiers defeated the Rwanda-backed M23 in 2013.

A lot of the leadership fled back into Rwanda and Uganda where they evidently have been incubated and reconstituted to launch yet another attack on the Congolese people. The stark reality is that there is no M23 without Rwanda.

Since the beginning of 2023, the city of Kisangani and the wider Tshopo province have received an influx of hundreds of thousands of internally displaced Congolese, fleeing the East due to escalating M23 violence.

Kisangani, the closest of DRC’s three largest cities, is positioned to received these migrants, but woefully under equipped to care for them.

A city still reeling from Rwandan and Ugandan violence 24 years must now contend with the ongoing consequences of Rwanda and Uganda’s violence today.

This digital campaign is designed to inform, raise awareness, and mobilize around the humanitarian crises that have affected the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo for over 30 years, while celebrating the cultural riches, deep history, and precious heritage of Congo.

Every day, we offer live and online conferences with organizations active on the ground, as well as various speakers who will share their experiences and perspectives. These exchanges will highlight not only the urgent challenges but also the positive initiatives that are shaping the future of Congo.

Every Sunday, we will present the program for the coming week, giving you a preview of the topics to be addressed.

We count on your active engagement throughout these 30 days to expand our support community and amplify our impact. Thank you for being with us in this process of change and solidarity.

Together, let’s make this campaign a key moment for Congo, a time when every voice matters and every action makes a difference. Thank you for your support and participation in this unprecedented initiative.
