Designing a bathroom? Save this one 👀

One little detail I’d really recommend thinking about is the height of your bathroom windows, especially if you’re planning a bath underneath one.

We lowered ours so that when you’re actually sitting in the bath, you can see out the window rather than just looking at a wall. Such a small change on the plans, but it makes SUCH a difference to the space.

One thing to be aware of though. If your window is below the standard required height, you may need safety glass, so make sure to check this with your window supplier or builder when planning.

It’s one of those tiny details that’s so easy to overlook until the house is built, and then it’s too late!

Would you have thought of this?

Anything to make life easier 🫡

Honestly, one of the easiest cleaning hacks once I realised you could do this 😂

For our Bosch downdraft hob, I simply:

Remove the cassette and take out the grease filters.
Pop the filters into the dishwasher, filter side facing down.
The cassette can go in too.
Add your dishwasher tablet as normal.
Wash at no more than 70°C. I use a 55°C cycle.
Let everything dry fully before popping it back in.

And that’s it 🙌🏼

I’m all about practical home tips, cleaning hacks and anything that makes keeping on top of the house that little bit easier.

Save this one for the next time yours needs a clean 🤍

5 Tesco Home finds that caught my eye today 👀🤎

Tesco Home had some REALLY good pieces in today, including a couple that feel perfect for heading into autumn 🍂

🍷 First up, this gorgeous burgundy rug. Burgundy is everywhere at the moment, and I love how easily this could bring some warmth and richness into a neutral space without completely changing the room.

🤍 This textured cushion was another easy pick. Gorgeous neutral beige tones, loads of texture and one of those cushions that would work pretty much anywhere in the house.

🪵 I LOVED this mango wood end table. Beautiful quality, a gorgeous finish and such a timeless little piece. It feels far more expensive than it looks.

💙 You might recognise this runner rug because I shared the green version before and you LOVED it. This time I spotted it in navy and I think I might actually prefer it 👀 Such a gorgeous colour and a really practical size.

🧼 And finally, such a simple way to elevate a bathroom. Invest in really nice everyday pieces. This matching soap dispenser, trinket dish and tray felt beautifully weighty and really good quality. It’s amazing how much these little details can change the feel of a bathroom.

5 Halloween finds that caught my eye today 🎃👻

I’m definitely getting sucked into the autumn and Halloween homeware now 😂 and there were some VERY cute finds in store.

🕯️ First up, these flameless candles. I love the look of candles around the house at this time of year, and flameless ones are such an easy option for creating that cosy glow without having to think about them.

🏮 This light-up lantern immediately caught my eye. Such an easy piece to bring out every autumn and perfect for adding a little glow to a hallway, console or cosy corner.

🎃 These pumpkin flameless candles were SO cute. Seasonal, but still really tasteful, and I love that you can get that lovely candlelight effect without an actual flame.

👻 And then there was this little ghost flameless candle. I mean… how could I leave him out?! 😂 Such a cute little Halloween addition for a shelf or kids’ room.

🧙‍♀️ And my PICK OF THE DAY… this decorative witch. I absolutely LOVED her. So unusual, really aesthetic and definitely more stylish than spooky. Exactly the kind of Halloween decor I’d happily have on display.

And yes… some of these DID come home with me 👀

Follow along because my next reel is everything I actually bought and how I’m planning to style it at home 🎃🍂

Dunnes Stores got me AGAIN 🎃🍂

I went in for a browse and obviously ended up finding more autumn and Halloween bits that were too good not to share 😂

🎃 First up, these gorgeous woven pumpkins. I love the texture on these and they’re the kind of autumn decoration you can pull out year after year without them dating.

💀 This felt hanging skeleton was such a bit of fun. So cute hanging on a door and an easy way to add a little Halloween around the house without going completely overboard.

🕯️ I couldn’t resist the Halloween candles either. Pumpkins, ghosts and lots of cute little seasonal designs. I actually think these would make such a lovely little gift too.

👻 The ghosts on a string were another favourite. Such a simple little garland, but SO cute for a shelf, fireplace, playroom or kids’ bedroom.

🍂 And I saved my PICK OF THE DAY until last… the light up autumnal leaf garland 😍 This was definitely coming home with me. I love the warm autumn colours and the fact that it lights up. I already have a few ideas for where I’m going to style it!

I fear my autumn decor collection is getting slightly out of hand 😂🍂

Are you enjoying these homeware find reels? Let me know in the comments because I’m really enjoying making them, and tell me where I should go next 👀

❌I know I did this “the wrong way around” 😅

Yes, my washing machine is stacked ON TOP of my dryer. And yes, I know that goes against the usual recommendation.

But for me, it just makes more practical sense.

When I take a wash out, I can pull everything straight into the basket underneath. Anything for the dryer goes in. Anything for the clothes horse gets carried over. No bending down trying to sort through a washing machine at floor level.

It’s a small thing, but when you’re doing as much laundry as we do, I wanted the system to work for ME.

I’m fully aware of the health and safety considerations that come with stacking them this way, and it’s something we took into account when setting up the utility.

Would you do it this way, or does the washing machine on top make you nervous? 😂

5 autumn finds in Dunnes Stores that caught my eye 🍂🎃

Dunnes has some gorgeous autumn bits in at the moment, and these were my five favourites.

🎃 First up, this orange pumpkin cushion. I LOVE orange anyway, so this immediately caught my eye. Such an easy way to bring a little autumn colour into your home without going overboard on seasonal decor.

🕯️ This pumpkin candle was so different. I loved the three little wax pumpkins sitting on top, and I think it would make such a lovely little gift if you were heading to someone’s house this autumn.

🤎 This faux mohair throw was absolutely gorgeous. Super soft, beautiful quality and the autumnal colours are perfect for adding warmth and texture to a sofa or bed as we head into the cosier months.

👻 These seasonal napkins were just too cute to leave out. A little ghost detail and only €2. Such an easy and inexpensive way to add a bit of fun to the table for Halloween.

🍂 And finally, this gorgeous autumnal berry wreath. Beautiful rich seasonal colours and something that feels classic enough to bring out year after year. Definitely one of my favourite finds.

Dunnes really does autumn homeware SO well 🤎

Did anything catch your eye?

5 things I’d buy in Dunnes Stores today 🎃🍂 with more coming tomorrow!!

The seasonal section got me again 😂 Here are five Halloween and autumn finds that caught my eye.

🎃 First up, these woven pumpkins. I love autumn decor that you can bring out year after year, and the texture on these makes them feel a little more elevated than your typical pumpkin decoration.

💀 This felt hanging skeleton was such a bit of fun. Perfect for hanging on a door and an easy way to add some Halloween decor without going completely overboard.

🕯️ I loved this little selection of Halloween candles. Pumpkins, ghosts and lots of cute seasonal designs. They’d be gorgeous dotted around the house or even as a little Halloween gift.

👻 These little ghosts on a string were TOO cute. Such a simple garland for adding a touch of Halloween to a shelf, fireplace, playroom or kids’ bedroom.

🍂 And my PICK OF THE DAY… this light up autumnal leaf garland 😍 I absolutely loved this. Gorgeous warm autumn colours, it lights up and it’s one of those pieces you could style in so many different places around the house. Definitely my favourite find.

Dunnes Stores is making it very difficult for me to behave myself in the seasonal aisles 😂

Which one would you be picking up?

All because my florist told me to try it 🌿🚿

gave me my first bunch of eucalyptus to hang in the shower and I’ve been doing it ever since 🤍

Now I just cut it fresh from our €7 Lidl eucalyptus tree in the garden 🙌🏼

Smells incredible. Looks gorgeous. Takes 2 minutes.

5 things that caught my eye in Tesco Home today 👀🤎

There are some REALLY lovely pieces in at the moment, and I feel like the autumnal tones are slowly starting to creep in 🍂

🏡 First up, this gorgeous mat with a rubber backing. It comes in two colourways, green and beige or navy and taupe, and I thought the quality was really lovely. €65 and such an easy way to add a bit of colour and texture to an entrance.

🐑 Tesco has loads of cute doorstops in at the moment, but this little sheep had to make the cut 😂 At €17, it’s a bit of fun and would be so cute in a playroom, bedroom or tucked beside a door anywhere in the house.

🤎 This little textured bowl is only €7. I actually already have it in the matte finish, but I loved this polished version too. Such a handy little styling piece for a shelf, console or coffee table.

🪑 This cream textured ottoman really surprised me. I loved the contrast with the darker wood legs, and it’s one of those pieces that’s both stylish AND practical. Extra seating, somewhere to put your feet or simply a gorgeous addition to a room. A little pricier at €65, but you’re getting plenty of use out of it.

🧺 And finally, this woven tray with leather handles. I LOVED the deep autumnal brown, the size was just right without being too oversized, and the leather detail makes it feel that little bit more elevated. Such a gorgeous piece for styling a coffee table or ottoman.

Tesco Home is definitely bringing in some gorgeous richer tones for autumn, and I am here for it 🤎🍂

Which one would you be taking home?
