FabFelis Designs

FabFelis Designs I am a Leitrim based artist obsessed with cats, owls, colours and tactile fabrics. From these fabrics I then sew the products you see here.

My own designs are printed on different fabrics in the EU which I use to create fully washable products that will bring colour and a touch of whimsy into your life. My name is Fabienne and I was born in Switzerland to German and Luxembourgian parents. We (myself, my husband Wim and our then 7 cats) recently moved into a lovely house near Drumkeeran in County Leitrim in Ireland. As you can probably

tell from the name and logo of my little company I love cats. I also really like bright colours :-)
I had many different jobs over the years, but one thing that always stayed constant is my love of arts and crafts, starting from when I made my own toys as a child many years ago. I tried many different mediums and materials over the years, but about 5 years ago FabFelis Designs was born when I decided to combine my love of photography, drawing, designing and sewing. My products all start either as one of my drawings or photographs, which I then edit on my laptop. The resulting files are sent off to various printing companies all over Europe, where they are professionally printed on man-made fabrics, using the sublimation method. All my products can be either hand washed or cleaned in a washing machine at 30C and line dried. The colours will stay nice and vibrant after washing. As a general rule of care you should not put any of my products permanently in a very sunny spot as UV light will eventually fade the colours. Any products made from Neoprene need a little extra care: they should never be folded or bent for a long period of time as this will permanently crease the material. As neoprene was originally designed for diving suits the material benefits from being soaked occasionally to keep it subtle. More details can be found on my website www.fabfelis.com

A big THANK YOU to Ray and all the organisers of Headfest who continue to give us crafters a much needed FREE platform to show our wares, the lovely people who shared their delicious food with us, my fellow stall holders (great to catch up with old buddies and new friends ๐Ÿ˜ป) and of course all my lovely customers at both HeadFEST & Galway Market who made this a successful LONG weekend for me despite the at times rather 'enthusiastic' weather ๐Ÿ˜ธ A special THANK YOU goes out to all of you who 'fed' my 'Feral Cats' collection Pussycat, bless you all ๐Ÿ˜ป The funds raised will be distributed to the rescues I support at the end of the year.
We're now on the way home to our beloved fuzzies ๐Ÿ˜ธ

Next weekend will be a busy one: on Saturday (& possibly Sunday, please check www.fabfelis.com on Saturday evening to confirm) from 11:00 to 16:00 myself and lots of other stall holders will be at the fabulous ๐Ÿ˜ธ Depending on the weather I will either be in my white gazebo or if it is raining inside the big marquee. On the bank holiday Monday (and possibly on Sunday, see above) I will be at Galway Market again, unless the weather is really awful.
I will bring the all the cute double-sided cats and cat head cushions you see here as well as lots of other lovely, colourful things designed and made by myself (no AI here) ๐Ÿ˜ธ

Next weekend will be a busy one: on Saturday (and maybe Sunday, please check on my website on Saturday evening) I will be Headfest and on (possibly, again please check the website) Sunday & Monday at Galway Market.
I've already made lots of new double-sided cats and I am expecting 2 fabric deliveries this week, so provided my machines will behave there will be lots of new goodies ๐Ÿ˜ธ
The new cats and cathead pillows are made of a new Minky fabric: while it is still super soft the slightly shorter 'fur' fibres mean clearer prints than the previous ultra-fuzzy version.
I only have ONE each of the different new cats & cat heads for now (please note the black tuxedo cat has already been SOLD), I will make more in future, but it will take around 1.5 months.
So if you have your heart set on one you will have to be quick, especially with the cat head cushions as they sold out the last time I had them at a (Christmas) market ๐Ÿ˜ธ
(See the last photo to get an idea of the size of the cat head cushions: they are resting on a normal sized camping chair - a customer wanted to see them together ๐Ÿ˜ธ - and the cushions behind them measure roughly 47cm2)
