It's always a great feeling to do this job and help save these incredible creatures that play such an important role in our environment.

Today was extra special because of the warm welcome I received from Roseanne and her husband. She kindly invited me in for a cup of tea, and we spent some lovely time chatting together. It's moments like these that make this job even more rewarding.

Saved a bee swarm today that was trying to get inside a vent pipe. What a great feeling when the job is successful and the bees are safely relocated! Every swarm saved helps protect these amazing pollinators and gives them a chance to thrive in a better home.

First swarm call-out of the season 🐝

Got the call to rescue a bee swarm today. Handed my phone to John to film how i do it… but he forgot to press record 🤦‍♂️😂
So there’s no action footage, just a few bee stings as proof it happened😁

Still, absolutely worth it to safely save and relocate this beautiful swarm. Always happy to help protect our pollinators 🐝💛

You know that moment when you spot a swarm of bees… but they’ve chosen a tree branch 30 feet up? 🐝

And there I am, standing on the ground like a confused extra in a nature documentary:
“Ah yes… the rare *Beeus unreachableus*… magnificent.” 😅

After multiple episodes of me staring upwards and questioning my life choices, I’ve finally cracked it:

👉 Every beekeeper needs a rifle ready for swarm season.

Because nothing says “professional” like being prepared… instead of just squinting at the sky and hoping the bees come down on their own 😂

There is nothing more beautiful than witnessing this sight—it is a true sign of the bees’ health and the beekeeper’s dedication and skill. Watching them work in harmony, hearing the gentle buzzing of the hive, is both peaceful and inspiring. I wished I could stay longer, simply listening and admiring their incredible world. But no matter how much I want to linger, the hive must be left to continue its important work. 🐝✨

As swarming season approaches, every beekeeper hoping to catch a swarm should have a trap box or hive prepared and ready!

One of the best attractants is old beeswax and lemongrass oil. The natural scent helps scout bees recognize the hive as a safe and inviting new home.

The key is keeping that lemongrass scent fresh by adding oil regularly. But with many hives spread across long distances, constant reapplication can be difficult.

That’s why I started making beeswax blended with lemongrass oil 🌿🍯
