Comfortably Numb: Loneliness Kit

Everyday symbols of comfort — a happiness pill, a brain, a heart, a familiar hot-water bottle — are transformed into ceramic and stripped of their softness.

The work explores the tension between our longing to be comforted and the emptiness we sometimes carry within.

What truly soothes us?
What fills us?
And what keeps trembling in the space between the first heartbeat and the last?

This work will be shown at the Zielinsky Art gallery in Kikar Ha-medina, Tel Aviv, till February 28th.
