THE PALETTE

The idea rarely arrives fully formed.
It is tested, pulled apart, rearranged.
Colours placed next to one another,
Textures change the balance.
Something that looked right yesterday suddenly feels wrong.

This is where instinct comes into play..
The palette is not simply a selection of colours.
It is a way of deciding what belongs together.
And somewhere between the first combination and the final one, it takes its own shape.

The threshold is getting closer.

How light falls on stone.
How it peers through a tiny opening.
How you find something you’ve walked past for years.

And once you’ve noticed…
You never quite see the world the same way again.
