Duh!

We love Japandi, but we’re definitely not stopping there.

We just really like good design. Give us a brief, a space and a little creative freedom... we’ll take it from there.

We’re here for all of it.

You asked what kind of art we make…

So we thought we’d just show you.

Our canvas just happens to have walls, furniture, lighting, textures and a LOT of decisions.

Every space has a story.
Every story has a lot of people behind it.

And Tesor is no different.

Six founders. Different personalities, different roles, different ways of looking at design.

But somehow, it all comes together under one roof.

Here’s who’s who at Tesor.
You’ll know the spaces a little better once you know the people behind them.

For the longest time, you’ve mostly seen Tesor through the spaces we create.

The homes, the details, the sites, the finished projects. But there’s a whole story behind all of it, and it starts with the people who started Tesor in the first place.

So we decided to turn the camera around and let our founders tell that story themselves.

This is the beginning of a little series about Tesor, told by the people who know it best.

A home isn’t filled in a day.

And honestly, I don’t think it should be. The best homes slowly collect things. A chair you picked up on a trip. A photograph that takes you back to a particular day. A book that’s been passed around the family. A little piece that reminds you of someone.

Because when everything in a home has a story behind it, the space starts telling you something about the people who live there.

That’s when it stops feeling like an interior and starts feeling like their home.

Designing for the coast means making choices that look good and actually work for the climate.

For Kadal, we looked at solid wood furniture for its durability and character, while the walls needed a little more thought too.

Instead of wallpapers that may not age well with coastal humidity, we went with hand painted murals inspired by Udupi’s flora, fauna and coastal birds.

The idea was simple, let the home belong to its surroundings, while making choices that last.

This room has a different kind of view.

You wake up by the riverside, watching fishermen head out for the day, casting their nets and making a living from the water. Beyond that, there are the trees, the birds and all the little life that moves around the river.

Udupi’s coast is home to so many birds, and we wanted that to be part of this room’s experience too. The mural brings a few of these coastal birds indoors, while the large openings let you watch the real ones outside doing their thing.

And if you’re lucky, you may even spot the same bird from your balcony while watching the river flow by.

It’s a room that makes you look out a little more often.
