🍛 Butter Chicken Recipe
Ingredients:
For Marination:
250g chicken (boneless, medium pieces)
1/2 cup curd (yogurt)
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
1/2 tsp turmeric
1 tsp red chili powder
1 tsp garam masala
Salt to taste
1 tbsp lemon juice
For Gravy:
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp oil
2 tomatoes (pureed)
1 onion (finely chopped)
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
1/2 tsp turmeric
1 tsp red chili powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
1/2 cup fresh cream
1 tbsp kasuri methi (crushed)
Salt to taste
Fresh coriander for garnish
👩🍳 Method:
1. Marinate Chicken
Mix all marination ingredients with chicken.
Keep aside for at least 30 minutes (overnight is best).
2. Cook Chicken
Heat a pan, add a little butter or oil.
Cook marinated chicken until soft and slightly charred. Keep aside.
3. Prepare Gravy
Heat butter + oil in a pan.
Add chopped onion, sauté till golden.
Add ginger-garlic paste, cook till raw smell goes.
Add tomato puree, cook till oil separates.
4. Add Spices
Add turmeric, chili powder, coriander powder, salt.
Cook for 2–3 minutes.
5. Combine
Add cooked chicken into gravy.
Mix well and cook for 5–7 minutes.
6. Make it Creamy
Add fresh cream and crushed kasuri methi.
Mix and simmer for 2 minutes.
7. Finish
Garnish with butter and coriander leaves.
