A collaboration that unfolded as naturally as our past projects together.
Rooted in the poetics of Bharatanatyam, Salangai reimagines the dancer’s ankle bell — a vessel of rhythm, memory, and movement.
Each light is a sculptural brass form, its inner glow washed in alta red, echoing the ritual pigment that marks a dancer’s feet. A colour of devotion. Of earth. Of life.
When illuminated, the piece casts shadows reminiscent of the bell itself — familiar yet abstract, still yet alive.
A contemporary object shaped by heritage.
Where culture becomes form.
