Dear sister,

Hey Sista, Wassup? How is Korea treating you? Found yourself a boyfriend yet? I hope you are taking proper care of yourself and not falling sick too often like you used to when you were in India.

You are that one person who unknowingly has taught me a lot of lessons in my life through the hard way. You taught me how to stand up for what I want in life, you taught me the most important lesson, that there should be no place and that there is no need to give place to toxic people in our lives for they do nothing but just drain out our energy and spoil our mental health. It was through you that I learnt not to give so much of myself especially to those who would not do the same for me.

Directly and indirectly you’ve taught me a lot of important lessons which have surely helped me to live a better life than what I used to live once upon a time and even though I may not show it everyday, but I am and will always be grateful for teaching me the lessons that I needed to learn for my own betterment and for living in this cruel, heartless world.

I hope everyone back there is fine and you are not troubling mom but studying all day so that you can make me proud. Hope to meet you soon. Love you and miss you loads.

Dear Spiderman,

I still remember the first time I saw you on the big movie screen in the theatre and truth be told, I was both thrilled and excited to see the amazing Spiderman for the very first time.

What I liked the most about you but at the same time what was sad was the fact that how each time you tried to protect your loved ones and the world from falling into danger but in the end, it was you who caused most of the destruction and were portrayed as a bad person by the media in front of the whole world. It takes a lot of courage in fighting against monsters just to keep your loved ones safe by not only putting your own life in grave danger but at the same time hiding your identity while doing so.

I hope I get to see you on screen sometime soon because you are honestly my favourite Marvel character since childhood and you’ll continue to be till eternity!

Dear Mom,

Hey mom! How are you? I hope you are not under too much stress and are taking out some time for yourself for your hobbies and for sightseeing along with my younger sister.

Life has been tough ever since I’ve moved away from home just like you had said. So many days go by when I don’t even find enough time to eat or sleep just because of the workload that keeps on increasing each day. It’s so lonely out here, there’s nobody to hug after a tiring day once I come back home, nobody to ask me how my day went and nobody to share the good events that kept me happy all day long.

There’s only one thing that keeps me on my toes and prevents me from losing hope no matter how tough it gets and that one person is you, my mom. I sometimes wonder, how do you manage to do it all each day tirelessly working to provide bread on the table and at the same time taking out time for your hobbies, i.e., reading books. I have never told you this, but mom you are my number one inspiration. You inspire me in so many ways that it’s not possible to just name 5 or 10 when infact there are a 1000 ways you inspire me to be the best version of myself, to work hard until I had got what I wanted to achieve with all my heart and lastly, to not listen to strangers who tell you what you cannot be, when in fact you know yourself, your own capabilities and abilities better than anyone else.

Even though I don’t tell you this quite often, you are an amazing mom and one life is not enough to learn all the good things from someone whose heart is filled with kindness and care for the people she truly and deeply loves from the bottom of her heart.

I hope I get to visit you sometime soon because I miss you loads. I hope that my younger sister is not giving you too much trouble and does her own studies when you are very busy in the correction of your students’ term papers. I love you mom more than words can describe my love for you. Give my regards to my younger sister.

Dear Future Self,

Hey future content writer? So how does it feel like to be working in your dream career and living the kind of life you always wanted to live since you learnt how to dream.

I am very well aware of the fact that the last few years were not easy for you and you had to struggle a lot to reach the point where you are currently in life. Life is a road full of struggles and you have to fight very hard in order to come out victorious in the end and I am sure you would have fought very bravely and courageously without giving up hope and that’s why your past self is proud of you.

I hope that you are not making the mistakes your past self made once upon a time. I hope that you are still not doing things for people when you don’t feel like doing. I also hope that you love yourself more rather than waiting for other people to love you the way you actually deserve to be loved. For this, I hope that you have stopped wearing your heart on your sleeve and stopped giving your heart to people who really don’t deserve your kind and caring nature.

Looking back at your journey and how far you’ve come after fighting all the battles, you should be proud of yourself and not let anyone tell you things that you are not because only you know yourself the best and let me tell you this, you my dear are a beautiful, hardworking lady who knows what she wants and doesn’t stop trying until she’s got it.

Hey handsome. I hope you are having fun with Paul drinking bourbon all day long and killing people with your slaying looks and dashing smile.

I know you must be getting a lot of fan mails each day and this letter will turn out to be no different than the rest but my reason for sending you this letter is a bit different from the others for I want this letter to tell you how and why you turned out to be my greatest inspiration.

You were that one person who taught me the real meaning of love and how to love someone thanks to your acting in the series, The Vampire Diaries which is loved by almost all the teenagers of today’s world.

Honestly speaking, I haven’t seen many of your series and movies but I managed to see one and it’s been my favourite since the past 2 years. Your series, The Vampire Diaries is one such show that I can never get tired of seeing and your chemistry and your loving relationship with Elena is what won my heart the most and sometimes makes me wish to have someone who loves me more than anyone and for whom I am the most important.

There have been so many times when I’ve felt low especially at night and it was your series which made me feel better and at home as though even after being miles apart, you could understand my unsaid emotions and feelings and could give me a hope that I am not alone in feeling a certain way at that point of time.

Dear Nani,

Greetings! I hope you are doing fine and are keeping healthy. Mom and all of us are also fine here trying to keep warm in the chilling winters of Hyderabad!

Nani, it’s been so long since we met. I miss all those moments we spent together. It was just yesterday I was sitting reliving all the memories of my childhood that I started missing your presence terribly! I remembered those days when in childhood you would tell me stories during meals just so that I would get lost in your stories and wouldn’t come to know when I had finished my lunch. I was also reminded of those days when you would protect me from mom’s scolding when I hadn’t completed my homework and had spent the full day watching television and enjoying my holiday by playing with my friends.

I also remembered how whenever I was not in a good mood after a fight I had with a friend, you would make my favourite dish eating which instantly brought a broad smile on my face and I used to almost forget about the fight and me being in a bad mood.
Ever since we haven’t met, life has been so different. Nobody understands me like you do, there is nobody to protect me from mom’s scolding, nobody to give me company while I eat my meals slowly, taking time to properly gulp down the delicious food and when I am in a bad mood, nobody no longer makes my favourite dish just to make me forget about the fight.

I miss you Nani more than words can express in this short letter. Please come back soon so that my days become happier than what they are right now.

Dear Rohit,

Hey! How are you, pal? I hope you are enjoying yourself at your University. I am fine here too, just busy with my hectic life.

Since we live miles apart and I am currently in a no-network zone I thought it would be best to send a handwritten letter in an attempt to know more about you since it’s been almost a month since we both have known each other.

In this letter, I would tell you about my favourite things which I adore the most. Some of my favourite things are dried-up flowers, handwritten letters, annotated books and lastly a set of bookmarks with unique designs and with my favourite quotes from different books scribbled on them.
