You move to a new city where you don't know anybody and start a hotel and library cafe. For the longest time you don't know how it will pan out and have your doubts. Why is there a dog on this cover of the Mahabharata?
At the end of the epic, when Yudhishthira is the only Pandava left alive, a stray dog follows him on his final journey towards heaven.
When Indra invites him into heaven, he asks Yudhishthira to leave the dog behind but Yudhishthira refuses saying "I will not abandon one who has given me company."
The dog is then revealed to be Yama, disguised to test him.
The greatest victory in the Mahabharata isn't won on the battlefield of Kurukshetra. It's won in a quiet moment, when a king chooses loyalty over heaven.
Sometimes, dharma isn't about conquering kingdoms. It's about refusing to abandon the vulnerable and one's principles, even when paradise is the reward.
