In the workshop of design, we all are eternal students.
And as an architect, I learn to see new requirements as "Oppotunities for Creativity".
Featuring this entrance lobby that is a striking example that uses bold contrast and statement pieces to create a strong first impression.
Here is a detailed breakdown of the interior design elements :
Design Style: Modern Ethnic / Transitional Indian
The space seamlessly blends contemporary architectural lines with traditional Indian craftsmanship. By keeping the overall spatial planning minimal and modern, the intricate, ethnic decorative accents—like the ornate bench and the rustic wall piece—are able to stand out as focal points without cluttering the area.
Color Palette:-
The color scheme relies on high contrast and rich, warm tones:
Deep Crimson / Burgundy: This bold accent wall provides a dramatic backdrop, adding depth, warmth, and a sense of inviting luxury to the entrance.
Matte Black: Here I ve broken the stereotype of the Typical Rectangular Shaped Entrance and converted it into a large arched door that uses a dark, solid finish to create a strong, grounding focal point that contrasts elegantly with the red wall.
Warm Earth Tones: The rich, dark brown of the wooden furniture gives the space an organic, grounded feel.
Green: An indoor plant introduces a refreshing, lively pop of natural color that softens the heavy architectural elements.
Materials:-
The lobby incorporates a rich mix of textures to create visual interest:
Carved Wood: Solid, intricately carved timber is the hero material for the traditional bench and the jharokha-style wall decor. This introduces a heavy, tactile texture and a sense of history to the modern space.
Metals: Metal finishes adds character. Antique-style brass is used for the classic lion-head door knockers and the vintage-style doorbell plate, while more contemporary metal finishes are used on the modern spotlight and sleek door handle.

In Frame - A warm kitchen design with a seamless blend of modern minimalism and traditional accents.

This space features sleek, handle-less plain white cabinetry paired with rich wooden paneling and open niches, creating a balanced contrast between clean lines and natural warmth.
These plain cabinets pair with open shelves display plants, decor pieces, and a softly lit pooja niche.
A deep blue vertical-tile backsplash adds texture and depth, complementing the black granite countertop and patterned floor tiles with green star motifs which introduce a subtle vintage charm.
The elaborate wooden doorway framing the kitchen enhances continuity, tying together the modern functionality with timeless, earthy elegance.

At G+M Design Studio our effort was to thoughtfully integrate this space by adding personality and cultural character to the otherwise streamlined layout.

Cozy Indian Bedroom with Rattan Elegance-

This Indian bedroom design beautifully blends traditional warmth with natural textures, creating a serene and inviting retreat.
The focal point of the room is a rattan fabric headboard that instantly softens the space, giving it a relaxed yet refined aesthetic.

Complementing the bed is a matching rattan bench placed at the foot, enhancing both functionality and visual harmony. The bench not only provides additional seating but also ties the design together through its cohesive material palette.

To balance the textured rattan elements, plain wooden furniture in warm teak or sheesham tones grounds the room with timeless Indian character.

Minimalistic bedside tables, a simple wooden dresser bring in a traditional touch without overwhelming the space.

Soft furnishings in handloom cushions, cotton or linen bedding, and light sheer curtains allow natural light to filter gently through, enhancing the cozy atmosphere.
Warm ambient lighting from hanging lamps and indoor plants completes the look, creating a tranquil bedroom rooted in Indian tradition while embracing natural, modern simplicity.

Although a Pink peach Girl Bedroom Design may seem cliched, It Works Well When Matched With wooden brown And White -
Creating a pink bedroom doesn’t mean that everything has to be pink and this daughter's bedroom design is a perfect example.
It also features the same tone on the furniture in the rest of the room, adding some colour and excitement with a playful wallpaper to the otherwise white and neutral palette.
We have played around with soft shades of pink so it isn’t too much on the eyes and create a bedroom that’s soothing and classy.
