Lock the Furniture Plan Before Electrical Work

A room can look resolved in a 3D view and still become awkward to use if the furniture plan and electrical plan are developed separately.

Before your local contractor starts electrical work, check these three connections:

1. Circulation: Confirm that the sofa, dining chairs and storage do not obstruct the main route through the room.

2. Lighting: Position decorative and task lighting in relation to the actual dining table, seating and artwork—not an empty room.

3. Controls and outlets: Check that switches remain reachable and outlets are useful after the final furniture and joinery are installed.

The practical sequence is simple: approve the furniture layout, coordinate the reflected ceiling and electrical information, review the combined drawing, and only then issue clear design intent for local ex*****on.
