Questo dagherrotipo impossibile ci porta indietro nel tempo, ma solo apparentemente. Nulla di ciò che è rappresentato era storicamente accaduto, eppure il dolore e la mancanza trascendono ogni epoca.

Una bambina vittoriana abbraccia con trasporto una scarpa da adulto, un oggetto semplice ma carico di significato. Le scarpe sono testimoni silenziose di chi non c’è più, un simbolo potente per ricordare le vite spezzate e le vittime dell’Olocausto.
