Congratulations to all the new moms out there! 💐👶
In almost every household, becoming a new mom means being served bowls of traditional Panjeeri. While Panjeeri can be healthy especially when made without extra sugar or excessive frying it isn't a replacement for a full, nutritious diet. For a full recovery, new mothers also need:
✅ Protein
✅ Iron
✅ Fiber
✅ Adequate fluids Enjoy your Panjeeri in moderation, but ensure your plate stays colorful and balanced! 🥗✨

"Vrat mein kya khaayein?" It's the ultimate question every festive season!

But remember: not everything labelled "vrat-friendly" is automatically healthy. Swipe through to see the simple formula for a balanced plate:
Carb: For sustained energy (like sabudana, potatoes, sama rice, kuttuu, or rajgira).
Protein/Fat: To keep you full and nourished (like dahi, paneer, milk, peanuts, nuts, and seeds).
Produce: For essential fibre and micronutrients (like fruits, cucumber, pumpkin, or lauki).

And yes, you can enjoy vrat snacks just don't confuse "allowed during fasting" with "eat unlimited"!
Save this before your next vrat! 📌

Dealing with frequent constipation during pregnancy? Don’t just brush it off as baby pressure on your tummy!

Here are two simple, natural ways to find relief:
1. Boost Your Fiber: Increase fiber-rich foods like oats, fresh vegetables, or gut-friendly salads that don’t trigger acidity.
2. Double Up on Fluids: Fiber loves water! Double your intake of hydrating options like coconut water, chia seed water, electrolyte drinks, or green tea.

If constipation persists, always consult your doctor to rule out other complications. Stay tuned for the next reel where we discuss postpartum plates!

Struggling with heartburn or bloating in your third trimester? Your body is giving you important signals! 🤰✨

During the final stretch, how you eat matters just as much as what you eat. If you feel like your stomach is full too quickly or burning after meals, try these simple tweaks:
Break down your meals into smaller, frequent portions.
Eat slowly to prevent indigestion and heartburn.
Never lie down right away after eating to avoid acid reflux and bloating.

Listen to your body, nourish yourself well, and remember never skip meals!

2. Check Dairy Hygiene: Always check the expiry date and packaging hygiene on your dairy products.
3. Choose Low-Mercury Seafood: If you love non-veg, make sure to opt for low-mercury fish options.

Eating iron is good, but is your body actually absorbing it?

During pregnancy (both pre and postnatal), getting enough iron is critical, but what you pair it with changes everything.

Here are a few science-backed rules to remember:
The Vitamin C Rule: Always pair your iron sources (food or supplements) with a citrus fruit or vitamin C-rich vegetable like amla, guava, or oranges.

The Coffee/Tea Gap: Keep a time gap between your iron-rich meals and your tea or coffee, otherwise, iron absorption drops.

Supplements vs. Food: Never replace your doctor-prescribed supplements with food hacks they need to run parallel!
