Week 2 of the weekly art challenge : Combine 2 animals into one..!!
This week’s prompt was Animal Hybrids & my brain went straight to Aretia. I couldn't resist drawing a Gryphon looking out over the Tyrrendor mountains. There’s just something about the way they’re described in " Iron Flame " that I had to try and capture it for my bookish art sketchbook..
To be honest, I’m still finding my footing with this style. Even though it’s not perfect and I’m not entirely satisfied with every detail, I know that if I keep practicing and pushing harder, I’ll do much better next time. That said, I’m still happy with how this one turned out and it was so much fun to create! I am thankful for the group and the weekly challenges as it's pushed me out of my comfort zone with this one!!

Started a new sketchbook with same favorite vibes. For my first page, I decided to go right back to my comfort zone with a lush waterfall landscape. There’s something so therapeutic about layering these green moss and black stones.. It felt like exactly what I needed to get the creative energy flowing for this new book.

"You know that feeling when you finally reclaim your creative corner? I’ve spent the morning rearranging my workspace into a proper art sanctuary again. I even pinned up my favorite Inktober pieces from last year to keep the momentum going.. It’s like having my past self cheer me on while I pick up the gouache. It’s messy, it’s mine, and it feels so good to be back with my sketchbook.."

"DIY Christmas ornaments
Joining the Craft-mas trend, we made these adorable clay Christmas tree ornaments. Used air-dried clay, cut out with cookie cutters, painted, and varnished for a glossy finish. Now they're hanging on our tree, looking cute and beautifu!!!l ❤️
