Power cuts make it difficult for girls to study or venture out of their huts in the evenings. This leads most villages to employ traditional methods of lighting, the fumes of which cause major health hazards. En-Light a Girl Child aspires to empower those regions in India that have limite

d electricity by distributing battery powered LED lanterns to girl children in rural households. By sponsoring a battery operated LED lantern (Rs. 400 each) you are not just providing a source of light to these households but are also helping educate a girl child. During Diwali Month, Eveready Industries supported more than 2,500 girl children in schools, by replacing their harmful kerosene lamp with bright LED Lantern for Studies. The event started from Govt. Girls Secondary School in Soorwal Village in Sawai Madhopur. Awareness and facilitation for Central & State Govt. Schemes for Girl Children amounting to Rs.50,000 per child was also undertaken, which otherwise these girls in backward regions were not aware of.
