From textile waste to new design.

At Caliu Milano, we weave our lampshades using regenerated cotton yarns produced by Italian textile companies.

But what does “regenerated cotton” actually mean?

It begins with textile waste and production offcuts. These materials are selected, shredded back into fibres and spun again to create a new cotton yarn.

A simple yet meaningful process: giving existing materials a new life and transforming them into something made to last.

For us, sustainability is also about choosing materials thoughtfully, working with Italian suppliers and creating each lampshade by hand in our Milan studio.
