A custom cut, travertine wash basin! Every measurement in this space is meticulously considered based on function and/or aesthetic. For example, how thick should we make the stone countertop (aesthetic), how far does the tap extrude (function). designers are often Virgos!

Ta da! A sliver of a view of the space showcasing a much debated sculptural staircase. This is a harmonious space given the good balance of materials you can see here - elements of metal and wood -- yet still clean and elegant, according to the client's taste.

One of my favorite ceramic brands in Italy, Mutina produces the Pico collection by Rowan and Erwan Bouroullec. The product line has 2 options where dots are either hollowed out or raised (we went with the "inny") Once again, clients are exceptionally minimal and this ceramic tile gives simplicity and rawness without being boring. Throughout Italy, including the Brera district of Milan, you'll find an iconic mustard colored paint coated on exterior walls. Italy is known for its very strict guidelines for what can and can not be done to existing buildings. For good or for bad, it's what keeps the indelible images of Italy alive.
