Form is the end of a process.

Pencil and paper remain our preferred way to give shape to ideas.
Influenced by the principles of the Bauhaus, our projects begin by considering production techniques, material characteristics, and the inherent limits and possibilities behind every decision.

Within each stage of production lies a knowledge built over time, refined through experience, observation, and inherited techniques. It belongs to those who love shaping material with their own hands, those who know how to select the right timber, recognising what deserves to be used and what instead must be discarded, without compromise.

Then comes ingenuity: the ability to overcome technical constraints, find harmony in proportions, and adapt the design to each unique block of wood without compromising the balance of the form.

A Canzien object is not shaped by tools alone.
It is defined by the knowledge behind every decision.
