While I like using my own personal art in my home, I also like adding pieces from other artist. Last week for my birthday, my husband bought me this original abstract by a local TN artist. It has some of my favorite colors and will always serve as a reminder of another year of life and the sweet gift that is.
Adding art, decor, or really anything in my home has been an evolving process for me. In my early years of making a home I leaned towards trends and top designers telling me what a home should look like.
Over the years I’ve learned that a home should reflect the hearts and personalities of the people living within it. The home is not a place to be staged but rather a place to tell a story…..the story of my family.
