Celebrating one month with our baby boy. 💙
To celebrate this little milestone, I wanted to create something deeply personal for Diego. A keepsake filled with pieces of our story, our love for him, and all the quiet wishes we carry for his future.
At the center are 3 giraffes representing the 3 of us, our little family. I’ve always loved giraffes because they feel gentle, calm, and protective. They move through the world softly, but still stand tall enough to see far ahead. I think there’s something beautiful in that, and I hope Diego grows up with that same kindness, calmness, and quiet strength.
The stars and moon symbolize guidance and protection through every stage of life. The hot air balloons represent dreams, wonder, curiosity, and all the adventures waiting ahead of him someday. The pear trees symbolize nurturing and abundance, while the lotus flowers and lily of the valley represent purity, growth, healing, and the return of happiness after difficult seasons.
One of the most meaningful details for me are the little clouds scattered throughout the piece.
They represent his older siblings (the twins) watching over him from above. Quietly protecting their little brother in their own way.
Diego is our rainbow baby, and although that journey has shaped such a big part of our hearts, I wanted this piece to feel gentle and full of hope more than sadness. Like a soft reminder that love never really leaves us, it simply changes form.
I also added small ribbons woven throughout the artwork to tie everything together, almost like little threads connecting our family, our memories, and the life we are building around him now.
A little world made just for our baby boy. 💙
