Conceived by Mauro Olivieri and developed by Antique Mirror, the project brings together design research and craftsmanship, turning the reflective surface into an expressive tool through mark, color, light and depth.

Visio Mirror is designed as a system of guided choices. The process begins with the collection and line, continues through visual rhythm, chromatic response and level of reflection, and is completed by thickness and the processing required by the project.

These decisions can be translated into a code shared by the designer, the company and production. The code is therefore more than a product reference: it makes the intended surface understandable and helps preserve continuity between concept, specification and realisation.

A sample is essential for evaluating the color, detail and reflective quality of Visio Mirror. However, the architectural character of the material becomes fully visible only when it is considered at the scale of the space.

Applied to a wall, a volume, a backdrop or an architectural detail, the surface interacts with light, distance and movement. Visual rhythm and reflection therefore become part of the spatial composition, rather than remaining qualities of an isolated finish.

For architects and interior designers, selecting the material means connecting three levels: the sample, the surface and the space.

The texture of Visio Mirror is not a physical relief applied to the surface. It is a visual perception created by the relationship between full and empty areas, color, reflection and depth.

Although the surface remains smooth, it changes as light, distance and viewpoint change. This gives architects and interior designers a material that cannot be fully understood through a single frontal image: it should be observed in movement and within the light conditions of the space.

Two surfaces from the same design family share the same language, yet may reveal subtle differences in density, reflection and chromatic depth. These variations are not defects or uncontrolled randomness: they are micro-differences that preserve the identity of the system while keeping the material visually alive.

For architects and interior designers, comparing samples side by side is therefore an important part of evaluating how the surface will respond within a project.

Color in Visio Mirror is not a flat finish placed on top of the mirror.

It works with reflection, ambient light and viewpoint. The same surface can appear denser, lighter or more transparent as the context changes.

Choosing a code therefore means defining the chromatic response the material will create within the space, not simply selecting a color sample.
