They’ve both gone out.
Mutual Mauve and Mutual Muted Blue have been rented.

I’m so grateful they were chosen so quickly—
and at the same time, I’ll admit… I wish I had a little more time with them.

But maybe that’s how I know they meant something to me.
I’m happy they’ve found a place to be.

It was there all along.
These pigments had been sitting quietly in the closet, waiting to be used. I didn’t think much of them at the time—but now I see they were always part of the story.

A small reminder that what we need is sometimes already given… just waiting for the right moment.

Mutual Mauve

This piece has recently been reserved for a rental placement in a condominium space.

While working on these pieces, I’ve started to notice something: many of the forms seem to be reaching toward each other.

Perhaps my work has been exploring something about how we relate — through closeness, through space, and through simply sharing the same environment.

Trying something new.
I’ve been experimenting with some handmade stencils—simple organic shapes, but a bit tricky to execute. These photos show the early steps.

It’s one of those ideas that feels a little risky, but if it works the way I’m hoping, it could turn into something really beautiful.

So… watch this space, and wish me luck.

In between layers.
This piece is still drying, so I’ve been marking out the next steps with masking tape, color samples, and my calculator nearby. It always surprises me how much more time the thinking and waiting takes than the actual mixing. But there’s something steadying about that—knowing it’s all part of the rhythm.

This part is slow, but I really enjoy it. It’s where intention begins to take shape.

Just adding a few more sketches from my next stucco piece. It may look like the same old thing — pencil lines and shapes again — but for me, it’s something quiet and therapeutic. A moment to pause, to breathe, to let my hands move before the materials come in. These small beginnings matter.

There’s something so simple and sacred about creating with joy —
When your hands move freely, and suddenly,
your body feels like it’s singing.
Like something scattered inside has come back together.

These two mini panels were made in that kind of moment.
I wasn’t even trying hard — I was just happy.
And somehow, they turned out so lovely that I didn’t want to let them go.

But maybe that’s the kind of beauty that’s meant to be shared.
So here they are — two little pieces of peace.🌿

Waters — sold.
So thankful for the person who saw the beauty in this piece.
There’s something humbling about knowing that something made with stillness and care spoke to someone else deeply enough to bring it into their space.

Thank you for giving Waters a new home.

Waters —

Waters

Who is AyaSophie?

AyaSophie is a contemporary abstract and symbolism artist that works with lots of movement and layers in her art. She takes advantage of her background of having lived in many different countries including her own, Japan, to create her own unique style and atmosphere.

She uses acrylics, Japanese washi and stencils in her art with a resin or varnish finish to create that ethereal feel in her abstracts. She uses depth of color and harmony to create layers in her symbolism art.

"I believe that my paintings are a window into another world. I am sharing a world I see with the eyes of my heart. I want to bring a world to a person's soul that builds up and heals, a world you can sit in and experience it and feel the atmosphere change your life."
