In the month of May, we will be exploring some traditional African fabric decoration techniques. Did you know that African communities made and decorated their clothes using various techniques? Be sure to join us in these adventure as we take a deeper look into;
*Batik
*Adire- Practiced by the Yoruba community of Nigeria.
*Mud cloth/ Bogolanfin- Practiced in Mali.
*Adinka printing- Practiced by the Ashanti in Ghana.
*Tie and dye- as practiced by various communities across central
and west Africa.
Feel free to join our workshops as we learn and celebrate Africa's wonderful heritage.
