Today, we were honoured to welcome our wonderful visitors from Kikopey Women’s Crafts Market as we prepare to begin our basket and kiondo weaving journey.

There was learning, sharing, hands-on practice and so much excitement in the room. 🥰 Seeing women come together to share skills and knowledge reminds us of the power of community and the beauty of learning from one another.

We are officially getting ready to start basket weaving at Urithi Wa Mama Collective and honestly, I’m so excited to see where this journey takes us! 🧺🌿

From beadwork to weaving, we are slowly building something rooted in heritage, skills and opportunities for women.
