Still Waters
The mind is likened to water. Just as calm waters reflect everything in their true form, our minds are most clearly seen in their calmest state, yet controlling them remains a challenge. On a polished glass surface, silver is poured to capture and document the inner turbulence in the form of waves. The randomly generated wave patterns visually fill in the texture of the day's emotions, offering a way to embrace natural changes that transcend self-control. The artwork either completes immediately or evolves over time as the silver oxidizes, continually changing and prompting the recognition of these differences. Each output captures a moment of tranquility, securing it on the display, and from the perspective of an external observer, examines the deep and complex elements hidden beyond the clear glass.

Still Waters;지수(止水)
마음은 물과 같다고 생각했다. 마치 잔잔한 물이 모든 것을 그대로 비추듯, 우리의 마음도 가장 고요한 상태에 잘 볼 수 있지만 이를 통제하기란 어렵다. 깨끗이 닦아낸 유리 위에 은을 부어 내면의 요동을 물결의 형태로 재현하고 기록한다. 우연히 생성된 물결의 패턴은 그날의 감정의 질감을 시각적으로 채워 나가며, 이는 자아의 통제를 넘어서는 자연스러운 변화를 수용하는 방식이다. 작품은 즉시 완성되거나 은이 산화되면서 시간에 따라 변화하는 과정을 통해 끊임없이 변화하여 다름을 인식하게 한다. 각각의 결과물은 찰나의 고요함을 포착하고 화면에 잡아두며, 투명한 유리 너머에 숨겨진 깊고 복잡한 것들을 제 3자의 관찰자의 시점으로 바라본다.
