Four-Bedroom Contemporary Residence

A contemporary four-bedroom residence that brings together modern architectural expression and the timeless character of restored Kabok blocks. The design explores how traditional local materials can be reinterpreted through clean, contemporary forms to create a home that feels both distinctive and grounded in its context.

The architecture is defined by strong geometric volumes, clean horizontal and vertical lines, deep overhangs, and carefully framed openings, creating a balanced composition of solid and transparent elements. The restored Kabok masonry provides warmth, texture, and a sense of permanence, while modern finishes, expansive glazing, and refined detailing introduce a contemporary character.

The spatial planning focuses on natural light, cross ventilation, visual connectivity, and a strong relationship between indoor and outdoor spaces. Generous openings and carefully positioned windows bring daylight deep into the interiors while encouraging continuous views toward gardens and surrounding landscape.

Private bedrooms are arranged to provide comfort and privacy, while the living, dining, and family spaces form a more open and connected social zone. Transitional spaces such as verandas, terraces, and shaded outdoor areas soften the boundary between the house and its landscape.

The overall design follows a simple, restrained material palette, allowing the restored Kabok blocks to become an architectural feature rather than simply a construction material. The result is a contemporary home with a strong sense of identity—where heritage, materiality, functionality, and modern living come together in a cohesive architectural language.

Coffee. People. Place.

This new coffee kiosk is designed by transforming a container box into a compact, functional, and contemporary coffee-serving space, specifically developed for preparing and serving Barista-quality coffee and beverage products.

The design focuses on practicality within an urban environment, carefully considering pedestrian movement, accessibility, and the limited footprint of the kiosk. The compact layout allows the kiosk to operate efficiently without disrupting the natural flow of pedestrians or creating unnecessary obstruction within the surrounding streetscape.

Architecturally, the approach is intentionally simple and minimal, using a clean contemporary form to uplift and activate an otherwise underutilized area of the street. The kiosk creates a welcoming visual presence while maintaining a strong relationship with the surrounding urban context.

A small gathering and waiting space is incorporated around the kiosk, providing a comfortable place for customers to enjoy their coffee, meet briefly, or take a break from the surrounding urban activity. The overall design aims to create a small but vibrant social space, demonstrating how a carefully designed kiosk can contribute positively to the character and experience of the city.

The project combines efficient functionality, compact planning, urban sensitivity, and a simple architectural expression to create a practical coffee destination that enhances both the customer experience and the surrounding public space.

This project transformed an underutilized rooftop shed into a vibrant staff lunch room, bar, and multifunctional event space for a three story office building. The design reimagines the existing rooftop as a welcoming social hub that promotes collaboration, relaxation, and informal interaction while complementing the building's new interior design identity.

The renovation adopted a cost-effective architectural approach with minimal intervention to the existing structure. By retaining the primary framework and introducing carefully selected finishes, lighting, furniture, and feature elements, the project achieved a significant visual transformation with reduced construction costs and minimal structural impact.

The interior design concept reflects a dynamic workplace culture through bold geometric wall graphics, vibrant colors, playful furniture, and suspended greenery. These elements create an energetic and engaging environment that encourages creativity while providing staff with a comfortable space to dine, unwind, and connect.

Colorful custom furniture and large-scale wall art establish a strong visual identity, while warm lighting and abundant natural daylight enhance the overall ambience. The exposed industrial ceiling is softened with hanging plants, introducing a biophilic element that balances the contemporary aesthetic.

Designed with flexibility in mind, the open-plan layout easily accommodates daily lunch breaks, informal meetings, staff celebrations, workshops, and corporate events. This adaptive reuse project demonstrates how thoughtful architectural planning and interior design can breathe new life into an existing structure, delivering a modern workplace destination that enhances employee wellbeing, strengthens company culture, and creates a memorable experience through cost-effective design solutions.

A Home That Embraces the Wetland.
Project Location: Gampaha, Sri Lanka

Every site has a story, and great architecture begins by listening to it.

This residence brings together the clean lines of contemporary architecture with the warmth and character of vernacular design, creating a home that is both timeless and cost-conscious. Rather than pursuing complexity, the design demonstrates how thoughtful planning can achieve elegance while remaining within the client's budget.

The site presented two distinct conditions: a marshy wetland at the rear and an established residential neighborhood at the front. Instead of treating these as constraints, they became the key drivers of the design.

The living spaces are carefully oriented to capture uninterrupted views of the tranquil wetland, allowing natural light, ventilation, and the changing landscape to become part of the everyday living experience. Extending from the house, a spacious outdoor deck creates a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor spaces, providing the perfect setting to relax while overlooking the surrounding marsh.

Towards the street, the design respects the scale and privacy of the neighboring residences, creating a balanced relationship with its urban context while opening generously towards nature.

This project reflects our belief that architecture should respond to its environment, respect the client's investment, and create meaningful spaces that enhance everyday life.

Good design isn't defined by budget—it's defined by how intelligently every space responds to people, place, and purpose.

Solid Fuel Boiler Warehouse & Integrated Office

This project entails the design and development of a dedicated steel-framed warehouse to house a solid fired boiler system (biomass/coal), serving a manufacturing facility within the Seethawaka Export Processing Zone, Sri Lanka. The structure integrates a functional office space for operations management, safety compliance, and administrative control.

The design responds to industrial pragmatism prioritizing ventilation, thermal management, fuel storage logistics, and worker safety while incorporating contemporary architectural language suitable for an export-oriented industrial park.

Welcome to a new kind of 5-bedroom residence. This project challenges the notion that a large family home must be a labyrinth of wasted space and high maintenance. The design philosophy centers on "purposeful simplicity"every square meter serves a function, and every design element has a reason.

Redefining the Modern Family Home
The floor plan flows intuitively, separating the private sleeping quarters from the open-plan living zones to ensure peace and togetherness coexist. Externally, the home makes a bold statement with a contemporary palette of materials and sharp, geometric forms. By prioritizing smart construction methods and a straightforward structural layout, build costs have been minimized without compromising the home's architectural integrity. The result is a residence that looks forward, functions perfectly, and provides a blank canvas for any family's future.
