Some begin with restraint.
Villa Jardín was conceived as a careful transformation—an exercise in editing rather than replacing. Working within an existing home, we chose to preserve what still held value and introduce a new architectural language that could quietly redefine the space.
The double- and triple-height volumes were wrapped in warm oak paneling, bringing intimacy to a scale that once felt overwhelming. By dividing the paneling into a more residential proportion, the architecture gained rhythm, texture and a more human scale.
At the center of the home, an existing reflecting pool became one of the project’s greatest assets. Instead of removing it, we embraced it. The sound of moving water, together with a mature tree rising through the space, establishes a constant dialogue between architecture and landscape, dissolving the boundary between the interior and the garden beyond.
Throughout the home, custom-designed pieces live alongside a carefully curated selection from European makers, creating interiors that feel collected over time rather than decorated all at once.
Villa Jardín is ultimately about transformation—not through excess, but through thoughtful intervention. A home that proves the most meaningful redesigns often come from understanding what deserves to remain.
