The Heriz is one of the great icons of Persian weaving - bold geometry, architectural medallions, jewel-saturated color. This large antique example is among the finest of its class.
A grand anchor medallion with monumental finials commands the deep red field. Stepped ivory corner pieces carry the detail to the edges with crisp, precise drawing. The border frames it all in a masterful vine-scroll on blue ground - rich, structured, complete.
