IT IS PART OF LIFE
The purpose of our lives as human beings has been clearly stated in Suratul Adh-Dhariyat verse 56 where Allah declared thus;
"I have not created the Jinns and Human beings except to worship me alone."
Today, I want us to know that in the crest of our worships, struggles, strives, trials and tribulations are part of life and that, I have neither heard nor seen any person who is either living or has lived to have escaped these integral part of life.
Therefore, the realization that while we worship Allah, trials and tribulations are part of unavoidable components of our living, is the beginning of a realistic life.
If we check well, it is evident that every stage of our lives has been full of struggles and striving to attain certain feat.
However, our guidance to the choice of Islam as a religion is a far reaching blessing in the face of life challenges.
This is so in the sense that, Islam is not just a religion but a complete way of life that empowers, inspires and guides us to meaningful existence. Islam improvises us with a strong foundation of faith that reminds us of a higher power and to always have trust in divine plans for our life, even in the face of trials or struggles.
The kind of faith professed in Islam, is the type that is expected to give us strength to face challenging times and to allow us find solace and peace in our hearts.
Upon all, Allah ordained goodness on us out of His mercy. Because, doing good is a magnet that attracts blessings into our struggles and strives. It also has the attributes of repelling evils and averting tribulations.
Things happens in our lives that sometimes defies our comprehension or explanation, but while we may not understand certain events in our lives because of our limited human knowledge/wisdom, that does not indicate the absence of some higher purposes and goals for things that are happening in our lives.
Some patterns of events are recognizable and even have clear causes and effects, while many others may not be so evident. The wisdom behind the disparity is often beyond the comprehension of human beings and it points to the magnificent and immeasurable nature of Allah's knowledge and wisdom.
Out of all these, two things stand clear as our rudder and compass to stair our Ships through the ocean of life and that is, 'faith' and 'goodness'.
The Prophet (SAW) was reported to have said:
In every situation, always do good deeds which are within your capacity. This is because, Allah azza wa jal never gets tired of giving rewards till you get tired of doing good deeds.
Glory be to Allah, the Almighty, the most gracious and the most merciful. May He grant us the strength to be good Muslims and do good deeds to all manner of people, at all times of our lives and in all situations.
