Dear Sisters,

As we celebrate this year’s International Women’s Day under the theme 'Invest in women: Accelerate progress”, I hope that our voices doesn’t feel like a liability in a world that mostly hears power as baritone, that we don’t cringe when we hear our recorded sound, and wonder what we could do differently.

I hope we know how to breathe deeply, of course, and access the full range of sound that’s contained within our body. I do hope however that it is not a practice we develop out of some twisted sense of shame about how our voice naturally emerges. I hope, like our male friends and families, we simply have a voice and feel free to use it out in the world, taking for granted that we will be heard as worthy.

I hope that we will labor over the usefulness and originality of our concepts, and the clarity and beauty of our language. And if whatever else we find joy in, I hope that we will have it all! This year, I hope that we delight in color, take deep pleasure in playing with our appearances, be creative, fearless and have fun. But I hope we never spend copious amounts of energy trying to protect ourselves from society’s critique, a sort of defensive maintenance that so many women of our generation and previous ones felt obligated to do.

I hope that our identity as an auntie, a mother or a grandmother will never be thought of as contradictory or competing with our capacity to lead.

I hope, most fundamentally, that power is disentangled from s*x in a way that frees us up to see our own gifts, and the gifts of other women, without the scales of s*xism that have so long obscured all of our vision.

And above all, I hope for justice, equality and equity for women, end to being violated, an end to suffering any violence. And that women will get more protection and recognition, and we stop being victims of abuse of any kind.

Happy International Women's Day to all my Sisters here.

Happy Happy International Women’s Day to all my sisters at Tech Mommas, today is dedicated to you, your courage, your tenacity, your strength and your wisdom! When I asked my baby what she wanted for her 5th birthday, one of the interesting thing she said was that, she wishes to have a pink chair in the house.

And since her Momma owns Asani Interior and Furnitures, where we make some of the coolest furniture, I decided to honor her wish 😊. Made a new set of chair for her.

Remember we recently changed all the furnitures in the house, and I had made a champagne 3+2 seater, and 1+1 Accent chairs. Now we have 3+1+1 Green chairs and 2 seater made in pink as she wanted. She came home to them some days ago and it’s now her permanent chair 😁🥰.

It’s 4 days to my baby’s 5th birthday! Forever grateful for one of the greatest blessing I’ve been honored to receive 😌.

Today on platforms you should totally explore for sales:

Facebook Market Place.

So, I decided to try the Facebook marketplace, started two weeks ago, and between that same week and now, we’ve sold 2 sofa sets, 1 Accent chair and 1 rug. And this week that just began, we’ve sold 2 flower pots.

Again, try out the unconventional and unpopular platforms. You just never know.

Oh yeah, you are welcome 😃😋

……
Whewww... It is finally the last day of the Year 2023. What a Year!

It’s been quite an emotional few days for me. Every little thing got me crying. Because this year was a convergence of sunshine and rain, pleasure and pain for me.

This year I almost lost my child but Mercy said No! I lost my job while stuck at the hospital caring for her. Spent literally all my savings on her health and surgery, she had a successful surgery, and then we got back home to an impending house demolition and was almost stranded. Thankful for friends and strangers that came through for us.

And then getting my dream job, business investments and going on to achieve a level of financial success I never thought I could achieve in 5 years.

Having my Mum still here which even all her doctors are not able to explain. Such a gotcha thingy 😁🙊.

We’ve experienced God’s loving kindness in unbelievable ways. It’s been a great year in spite of the highs and lows.

Today, I stand with my child, my mother and every member of my family, alive, happy, fulfilled, blessed beyond measure.

What a year! But I won't have it any other way, because this year built my stamina, tenacity and strength like never before.

So, here's to 2023, to the battles we faced, to the wars we conquered, to the storms we stood through and to the truest of family and friends.

One great lesson I'm taking into 2024 is that you can't get the rainbow, if you can't take the rain. So I choose to be grateful for the many rains that drenched me to my soul. I am super grateful for the rainbow!

So this is a big Cheers to you and I!

Let's toast that things got better this year!
Let's rejoice for God's abundant Love, Mercy and Grace!

Let's toast to dreams that were birthed, to doors that were opened and definitely for those shut at us.

Cheers to love found, and to those lost.

Cheers to new career opportunities and to finally starting that business.

Here's to the mistakes we made and the lessons we learned!

Here's to being alive!

Here's to everyone chasing their dreams, living, loving and making positive impact in their sphere of life!

Here's to those who got hurt and are striving to heal. Here's to those still striving to find their bearing in life. Here's to not remaining on the ground even when we were thrown under the rubbles.

And here's to an even greater 2024!

Here's to giving our best and not letting anything, anyone, circumstance and trial keep us down!

May 2024 be better. May we not forget the lessons we learned in 2023, and may we be, do and live better. May our lives honour God in every way.

May we learn to love ourselves a little more. May we truly stop desperately aspiring to sit at tables where we have to bring our own chairs, squeeze in between people who we have to repeatedly convince why we should and deserve to be there. In 2024, may we receive the wisdom, strength and doggedness to build our own tables!

Cheers to an amazing and rainbowful 2024!

Thank you for being a part of my online presence. Let’s do more in 2024.

Love you all bigly ☺️🤭🥰.

Your Sister,
EnnMAE

Let me crack y’all up small, so I had change all the furnitures in my house, then decided to sell all the old ones. Initially I was going to use the declutter people on IG but some of those people aren’t so well in the head, so I decided to put them up on Jiji myself.

Few days later I started getting several inquiries with over 200 impressions. I guess because I wasn’t looking to make money from it, so the prices weren’t particularly much.

That’s how one Unku called me;

Him: Hello sir
Me: hello, good afternoon. Who is this please?
Him: Good afternoon. I saw the sofa set your oga put for Jiji and I want it. How much is the last price
Me: The price on it is the last price
Him: Madam, abeg I no get time for back and forth, make I talk to your oga wey do the advert make we talk man to man, because I wan carry am on Saturday or Sunday
Me: I put up the adverts because they are my chairs that I bought with my own money inside my own house. So if you want to buy it, you talk to me and stop being disrespectful
Him: O abeg ina no vex madam. So how much you go con sell am for me last. I be your brother o
Me: I will remove 5k, can’t do less than that.
Him: That’s not much discount o. But make I get back to you.
Me: No wahala oga
Him: Thank you madam

….. I had about 5 convos where they called and were expecting a man on the other end. One said, oh I was expecting to hear a male voice.

Finally sold the sofa set to a young humble guy. Don’t have time for egocentric pinix wielding people. The man above called Saturday again saying he was ready but need me to get another 10k discount because the truck that would carry it is kinikan kinikan, told him I’ve sold it, he seems peeved 😂.

Hi Fam,

So, since sharing about the clothing giveaway, I’ve had so many people reach out to me that they’d rather receive food items over clothes. After discussing with my friends and other people who have always supported my dreams and projects, we decided to go along with this, considering the cost of living right now in the country.

So from the second of December, we will be sharing mini packs of rice, oil and hopefully some change to help those who might not be able to pick up, or for gas.

What we need

1. We are looking at purchasing 10-15 bags of rice (depending largely on the cost). So if you know anyone that can supply clean rice in affordable prices. Kindly tag them or inbox me.
2. 2. If you deal in groundnut oil in bulk and can give good prices, kindly reach out to me.
3. If you’d love to be a part of this, you can buy rice and oil, and request for us to pick up. We will arrange to pick up even if outside Lagos.
4. If you’d prefer to send cash support, kindly reach out to me.

If you need to know anyone who would need this little token of support for Christmas, kindly reach out to me and we will include them on the list.

…. kindly share when you come across this, somebody on your timeline might need this. Thank you 🙏🏽

If you would want to support as a business, kindly let me know and we would include your details in the list of companies in the press release.

Thank you.

Mae!

I've had a lot of people ask me why I love Christmas so much, well the reasons are deep and countless 🤭. Not only do I remember countless Christmas growing up without food(some all we had was garri😁😁) and wearing our one piece cloth which we had worn everyday of the year to Church on Christmas and with joy too. But I am also able to look back now with a grateful heart, for the place I am, for growth, for the lessons I have learned, and most importantly the grace to love and celebrate God regardless of what life brings our way.

In 2015, I began the "Every Child a Christmas Dress Project" It was inspired by my desire to see little boy/ and girls in poor homes and rural communities in Lagos have a Christmas Cloth to wear.

When we first began, the target was to give a child a cloth between 15th of November 2015 to 31st of December 2015, but as soon as I began a whole lot of friends and families joined and we were able to give 5 children a dress a day between 15th of November to 15th of January 2016.

And we’ve done it every year until Covid. And this is the very first time I’m finally getting back to it since then.

So today, I’m announcing that the project is back on and we are beginning the campaign for Christmas 2023. The target is give 70-100 brand new clothes to little girls and boys, between the ages of 1-6.

We will be giving out gowns for girls, 2 piece sets for boys, all for ages 1-6. The giving out will commence by 15th of December and will run till 8th of January 2024. The dresses will be wrapped and sent to the kids.

So if you know someone around you, who seem to be going through some difficult time and would give anything to have their baby boy/girl have something beautiful to wear, all we need is the child's name, age and address (The gifts will be addressed and delivered to the child).

(Strictly for those in need I beg you in the name of God).

Volunteer Delivery Individuals are required for LAGOS environs only!

As much as I would love to put a smile on the faces of as many children out there as possible, but I'm only able to do much more with the support of everyone out here. So, if you would love to be a part of this;

1. You can make Christmas purchase of dresses or boys shirt/top and trousers (They must be NEW) and get in touch with me, I will send someone to pick them up or drive over myself to get them.
2. If you are also a fashion designer and won't mind sewing some of the clothes for us, (I will send the fabrics required to you). My tailors will also be busy working on them at my fashion house.
3. You can participate by giving out fabrics also, you can either deliver them to us or I will have people pick them up from you
4. And you can participate by giving out cash to sponsor as many kids as you can.

Kindly send me a direct message here for more info and let’s together light up homes as we herald our King Jesus Christ.
