My client didn't like the fragrance we used on her bedsheets and I am happy. This is why👇
First of all, happy new week to you my darling.
Now back to my gist.
We sent out orders to two clients yesterday and as it is our culture, we ensured that the bedding were neatly sewn,washed, pressed and mildly fragranced to replace the smell or soap residues on the fabrics and enhance a cosy sleeping experience (we mostly use few drops chamomile or lavender)
It's a process we've been following since the inception of the Luxury4less brand(considering that our initial biz model was a B2C) and that was largely due to the fact that our research showed that most people put themselves at risk of ingesting harmful chemicals and dirt, when they buy bedding and go on to use without washing because in their minds 'it's new'😃
Forgetting that there's a whole lot that goes into the bedding production process.
I keep emphasising that if you see how fabrics are made, preserved, how they're stacked on the floor in the market, or the amount of dust that gets on them from the logistics end, you'll never even want to sleep on bedding up until you wash them. You and know that most people don't like the stress, extra expense and wait-time of washing before usage.
Let me not bore you with research findings sha. So, like I mentioned early on, we sent out freshly made bedding to our clients; one in Eket and the other in Ikot Abasi and two different things happened that just made my day.
First thing yeah... They both called to say the had taken delivery of their goods.
Second... They gave heartfelt feedback; not the type one may give to impress a vendor but the type that is given from a place of deep concern for a vendor's growth and I deeply appreciated them for that.
Both clients were very attentive ones. They recognised the extra work that we put into ensuring a great product experience for our clients regardless of the quantity of goods that they get from Luxury4less interiors.
While one said she loved the mild fabric lavender fragrance that we drop in our rinsing water, the other one said she didn't like it and would prefer none next time.
This feedback got me thinking and reminded me just how unique each client is. And henceforth, before we even begin processing any bedding order, we'll have to first inquire about their preferences to the tiniest details.
You see, in business, as long as you're open-minded, every client will teach you something,everyday!
