The COVID-19 pandemic presented unprecedented challenges for Abisal Foods in 2019 and 2020. As a business reliant on raw materials from Northern Nigeria, we faced significant disruptions in our supply chain. Despite Oyo State government's efforts to allow commercial activities within the state, we struggled to access the essential ingredients we needed.

This experience served as a catalyst for change. We recognized the importance of building a more resilient supply chain and subsequently established partnerships with out-grower farmers in Oyo State who plant and supply us with the raw materials we need.

However, the pandemic was not the only challenge we faced during this period. As an incubatee at the Technology Innovation Centre (TIC), our time was limited, and in 2021, we had to relocate to our own factory. This transition was incredibly demanding.

It was a difficult period, but we persevered and emerged stronger.
