She said , “My Child Wore It Once… and That Was It 😩”
A mother's painful story:
I still remember how excited I was.
I saw the dress online—bright, cute, affordable.
“Perfect,” I thought.
My daughter twirled in front of the mirror when it arrived. She looked beautiful. I even snapped pictures.
The next day, I washed it.
Just one wash.
When I brought it out to dry, my heart sank.
The color was dull.
The neckline looked tired.
The fabric felt rough—nothing like what she wore the day before.
A week later, I tried to dress her in it again.
“Mummy, it’s scratching me,” she said, pulling at the sleeves.
That was the last time she wore it.
Money wasted.
Time wasted.
Another outfit pushed to the back of the wardrobe.
That day, I realized something:
Kids don’t need just ‘fine clothes’. They need clothes that last.
Clothes that survive washing.
Clothes that allow them to play, run, and be children.
Clothes they won’t reject after one wear.
Since then, I don’t buy kidswear the same way again.
If you’re a parent, you know this pain.
Has this ever happened to you? 😩
Comment “YES” if you can relate.
