No African parents want their children to become useless; many parents genuinely believe that strictness, fear, and hardship are necessary to raise responsible children. That mindset has been passed down through generations.

But there is a big difference between discipline and fear.

A child can respect a parent without being terrified of them. Children need boundaries, correction, and consequences, but they also need affection, communication, patience, and the feeling that home is a safe place.

When a child becomes afraid whenever their parents are around, always expecting shouting, insults, beating, or another problem, something is wrong. A child should be able to make a mistake and still feel safe enough to come home and talk about it.

Being gentle does not mean being weak. You can raise a disciplined, respectful and responsible child without breaking their confidence or making them afraid of you.

Sometimes, the children we are trying so hard to control don't need more fear—they need more understanding.

Some men are so secretive with their wives that even their ATM PIN is a secret. One man said, “If my wife knows my ATM PIN today, I will change it tomorrow.” Honestly, I wonder what kind of marriage that is.

I heard of a man who became seriously sick and couldn't even talk. There was money in his bank account, but his wife didn't know his PIN or how to access the money. Sadly, situations like this can become dangerous.

I believe privacy is good, but marriage should also have trust, especially when it comes to important family matters.

Before you marry someone, study their character, and let them study yours too. Know who you are trusting with your life.

Personally, I can't marry someone who doesn't trust me with important things, especially family finances. Marriage should be about love, trust, openness and understanding.

You wake up with your bank account swapped with the last person who viewed your status.
Do you check the balance immediately or pretend you didn't see this post? 😂

I don’t know why you can’t see it, but you are truly wonderful and beautifully made. There is so much beauty in you, and I hope one day you’ll see yourself the way others see you.”

Tonight, I pray that every burden weighing on your heart becomes lighter. May God give you peace where there is confusion, strength where you feel weak, and hope where you see no way forward. Leave behind everything you cannot control and trust that tomorrow can bring a new beginning.
Good night and sweet dreams 🤞

I have moved on, and I have forgotten many of the struggles I encountered years ago. I don’t dwell on my past, and I don’t care about the things people said about me.

The only thing I knew then was my dream. I had a vision, I had a focus, and deep within me, my spirit kept saying, “You must succeed, despite everything you are going through.”

I may have suffered, I may have cried, and there may have been moments when life felt impossible, but I never allowed my circumstances to convince me that my story would end there.

Today, I look back without bitterness. I look back with gratitude.

Because sometimes, the struggles you survive become the very proof that you were stronger than you thought.

There was a time in my life when noodles was my lifesaver. 🍜❤️

Things were so tough that we couldn’t even afford to cook proper food every week. There was hardly a week that went by without us eating noodles.

Whenever my husband got a little job and made some money, he would sometimes rush home with noodles because the money simply wasn’t enough to cook a full meal for the family. And in the middle of all that, we still had baby diapers and baby food to buy.

But you know what? I never complained. We ate what we could afford, stayed together, laughed together, and remained grateful. Somehow, we were still happy.

Today, we are no longer at that level. Things have changed. We have grown. We have moved forward.

And that experience taught me something I will never forget:

Life is in stages.
Today may be difficult, but tomorrow can be different.
Never be ashamed of the season you are passing through. Never look down on yourself because of what you cannot afford today.

One day, you will look back and realize that the things that once made you cry were actually building your strength.

Keep going. Your story is still being written. ❤️🙏

People are not asking for too much; they are simply trying to afford the basics of life. They want food on the table, a roof over their heads, education for their children, and a little peace of mind. But when the economy keeps saying ‘no,’ even hardworking people can begin to feel like their best is never enough. Still, we must keep pushing, because difficult times do not last forever. Your struggle today does not define your future.

I am chinaza, the woman that loves peace

Chinaza was the only child of her parents. Growing up, she learned to enjoy her own company. She was not the type of person who looked for trouble, and she hated anything that brought unnecessary stress into her life.

People sometimes misunderstood her quiet nature. Some thought she was proud because she didn't involve herself in every argument. Others wondered why she would simply walk away when people were quarrelling.

But Chinaza understood something many people had not yet learned: not every battle deserves your energy.

She loved being herself. She didn't want to pretend just to make people like her. She didn't want to live according to people's expectations or compare her life with anyone else's. She wanted to live peacefully, laugh when she was happy, cry when she was hurt, and keep moving when life became difficult.

One day, someone told her, “You are too quiet. You need to learn how to fight for yourself.”

Chinaza smiled and replied, “I know how to fight. I have simply learned that peace is sometimes a greater victory than winning an argument.”

From that day, she stopped feeling guilty for protecting her peace.

She realized that being the only child did not mean she had to carry the whole world on her shoulders. She could love people without allowing them to disturb her peace. She could forgive without returning to places that hurt her. She could care without losing herself.

Chinaza finally understood that being yourself is not selfish, choosing peace is not weakness, and walking away from unnecessary drama is not cowardice.

Sometimes, the strongest person in the room is not the one shouting the loudest.

Sometimes, it is the person who quietly says:

“I choose peace. I choose myself. And I refuse to lose my happiness over things that are not worth my tears.”

And that was Chinaza's story—not a perfect life, but a life she was learning to live on her own terms. I choose peace and love more than anything.
